Damn! I just totally started crying listening to this. It was the crowd feeling it and singing along that did it. Plus I'm trying desperately to win back the heart of a girl I lost and it's not going well. I'm a mess! You can hear how happy everyone is and it moved me. It's one of those moments in time where everything is perfect. 3 minutes and 22 seconds of pure bliss. If I could just get her back I could have have a whole lifetime of that. Anyways, great cover. She has a beautiful voice.

Just listen to 14 year old Phoebe Peek and her version, the actual emotion of Elton Johns song - sung beautifully... and played on guitar. I like this but I reckon her voice has become a bit cliched

Her voice is unique and beautiful no doubt. This is a cover of the song it's ment to be different, she didn't ruin it at all because this song went 1# on ITunes so obviously people must love the cover.

And the great thing about ellie singing this is that those who never heard eltons version will go look it up so she helps elton in that way.

Ellie has a distinct voice and she has done a cover in her style... fans of Ellie will like it and then they may go and seek out Elton's original, which you are right, IS far superior, and they will hopefully like that too... but to *force* on someone that the original is far better, well, allow them to form their own opinion too.

@Jess140594 first, your vid has really nice sound and the pic quality is very good... some reasons for why yours may have less views than mine could be: -

- this was the first live performance of Ellie doing Your Song (16th Nov), yours was posted a day later...

- this one got posted on an Ellie forum, which generated a lot of interest

- It's always good to post a full length song

- some close up filming helps.

- but importantly, decent sound (but yours is great!)
