@DarPower1 You make a good point about disrespecting Japanese culture. The fact is that most otakus are elitists who hate on Western culture and uphold Japanese culture as supreme. In reality, Otaku culture in Japan is looked down at, and "Western" subcultures are celebrated. I am not badmouthing Japan, just stating facts. Furthermore, most anime fans wouldn't know that anime art-style's biggest influence were Disney films in the 30s. American animation.
