i saw her perform in a small club in Los Angeles (2002?). she performed by herself and i was so amazed how strong of a performer she is, even without backup musicians and i was used to that sound her albums that i love. her stage presence was very unpretentious and warm. she totally blew me away.

JET is one of the most Amazing pieces of music ever. So much Great stuff on there. THIS is my favorite though, of course.

i've seen her several times. my favorite was at the Mercury Lounge probably around 2003. she started the show with a welsh folk song acapella. totally stunning. i'll never forget it. i so love this song. what a totally underated brillant musican/songwriter this is.
