  • We are 100% snafu!

  • You should see the damage bronze! Metal damage, brain damage, are ya listening bronze?!

  • now im a big american muscle fan and i got my car list narrowed down but man i would love to have one of them or the black one, in the first chase scene and the big V8 one in the end

  • sweeeeeet I loves it

  • this is probably filmed with a rock

  • @MrSlaughteredlamb how could it be possibly filmed with a rock?... retard.

  • I love the lights on it. How's the siren sound compared to the one in the movie? Or did they mix two sirens together to make it sound like that? Curious.

  • Is this road legal in UK ? I would love to have one!

  • is that a javelin?

  • @RifleMarksman1

its a 1976 Ford Falcon XB Sedan, from Australia

  • @MadMax2050 ok, i thought it was a javelin for a second because of the fenders

  • Very nicely done, alot of work gone into that motor, thanks for posting!.

  • @96rottie

    Thank you!!

  • nice replica you have done a good job

i have some photos of the car when it came in to

the uk it was orange and black with a straight six

  • now that is one SWEET ride mate ! :)

  • I love it :). M.F.P (Mother Fucker Police) AWESOME!!!!

  • thought the pusuits were 6 cyl not 8

  • @fubar1nz Not true. All the pursuits and interceptors were except one; the HQ Monaro coupe they blew up in the opening chase. Apparently it was because the weight of a V8 messed with how they wanted it to crash

  • @Mechknight73 no have looked into it... the first pursuits ever made were 6 cyl not v8s... they got there name cos they were police cars they werent a standard 6 though they had a bit of work done to them,

the interceptor was the xc v8 and the pursuits were xa,s

  • @fubar1nz The black Interceptor was an XB that had XC Fairmont headlights, which made it look like an XC. In the opening chase, one of the yellow pursuits is an XA, the one that went through the caravan was an XB.

  • @Mechknight73 crap.. they werent 1think you need to do some reading up... and i meen not the mad max film set records

for a start the xc fairmont lights wont fit a xb i have a mate that already tryed that

so think your fulla shit sorry...

second if it was a coup... how could you tell just from whatching the movie? seeing the car in the movie had a fause front??

3rd... in real life like the most of us think... there were no xb interceptors...

  • @fubar1nz The XC Fairmont headlights DO fit an XB, if you were to remove the grille and parts of the framework around the headlights. Obviously a large rectangular headlight can't be made to fit into the same slot as a 7" round headlight. The XC also has an extra piece on the front guards that bolts on, allowing those headlights to fit.

The yellow car Max was driving clearly has INTERCEPTOR on the back of it in big white letters. Even those who worked on the Interceptor coupe said it's an XB

  • @fubar1nz

Mechknight73 is right, all the main cop cars in the film were XB's appart from the March Hare car that was an XA, and the Nightriders Monaro

The black Interceptor is an XB GT, this has been verified by the chassis number of the original car that is in the Cars of the Stars Museum here

The square headlights used under the Arcadipane front were from an XC, and most of the replica builders have used XC headlights too, to keep things authentic.

Big Bopper was certainly a V8 too!!

  • @MadMax2050 i dont give a shit about the friggin movie, what im saying is the interceptor in real life was a xc... i know the yellow 1 in the movie was a interceptor... but unlike the rest of you people that seem to beleive all you see on screen the xb was never a interceptor... i should know my dad restored 1 before he died it was proberly the the only original 1 in this country(nz) and if you know cars you should be able to spot a replica to a original if not get outa this disscussion

  • @MadMax2050 next youl be telling me that there are 2 door interceptors as well??like is mentioned in madmax 2?

if you think thats true you truely are fulla shit

  • @MadMax2050 "Big Bopper was certainly a V8 too!!" - Yep! Big Bopper packed a 302ci V8 whereas Max's XB Saloon MFP Pursuit car and the XB GT Coupe Pursuit Special had both had a 351ci Cleveland V8.

    WardyLion

  • @fubar1nz "for a start the xc fairmont lights wont fit a xb i have a mate that already tryed that"

I once fitted an entire XC nosecone (All panels etc forward of the doors) to an XB.

    It was easy.

ZG Fairlane/LTD panels will fit too

  • @fubar1nz In the DVD commentary they said one of the MFP cars was actually a retired Taxi with a small 6 cyl. They said the cars were avail in a whole bunch of configurations. They bought whatever they could get their hands on cheap, and painted them up to look good.

  • You sir are my hero, I have ALWAYS wanted one of these

  • Hey fellas are you OK?

  • is it street legal, i know where i live, you cant have blue or red lights on cars

  • How much it would it cost to have one of these built?

  • you all do realise that there were more than one persuit specials in mad max? march hare, big bopper and max drove one himself....

  • Damn, that's nice!

  • wicked !!!!

  • Excellent car! It`s difficult to see in here a PURSUIT B Boopers car.

  • It'd hard to tell what it looks like the video is so poor quality. What the hell did you record this with? an iphone or something? This should be in proper HD.

  • dude get it right the car is all wrong

    fuck head

  • nice car...

  • what car was that based on

  • 1974 xb ford falcon

  • youre blaspheming again, I dont have to work with a blasphemer. lol

  • HAHA! I've never understood that line. Why does he call the Big Bopper a blashphemer?

  • Ummm,because he swears

  • AH! Funny, I never realized Big Bopper was "swearing." I must be desensitized to such vocab.

  • cause he says" for Christ sakes shove over!"..so he took the Lords name in vain..

  • @radwayb Thank you (Someone clarified this a month ago too)

  • かっこいい。イエローインターセプターもかっこいい。

  • naoya3110, please translate :)

  • ime a fuel injected suicide machine the toe cutter he knows who iam,

  • send the meat truck Charlies been cut in the throught bad

  • actually it's "send a meat truck, charlie's copped a sauce pan in the throat"

  • Yeah the dubbed version is different...but the aussie version rules

  • looks great!!!!!! BRAVO

  • NIGHT RIDER BABY , fuck night rider u crazed biker fuckwitt

  • That's right intheringboxing. Stupid thing is, we only ever see the "Night Rider" during the day! Then he hits the fuel tanker and is blown to smithereens, thankfully...

  • ever consider making the interceptor?

not the black one, the one that looks like yours, just the diff lightbar

  • Damn Aussies always got the hot fords and chevys. I remember seing this for the 1st time as a kid thinking it looked like a modified 72 mustang. Well at least we got the new GTO from them. Yeah Holden!

  • Yeah but we have fun driving them too.Well except for the holdens.Fords rule the rest drool.

  • lets get something straight us aussies have nothing todo with chevy ok

  • not a modified mustang but take a closer look at the rear quarter window then look at the I think the 71 0r 72 Torino sportroof then a front end from a 71 Mock1 then a custom nose cone to get the square lights in the front mustangs Mock1 s have round lights there is a guy in washington state makes about 2 a year for 70,000.00 I came across his site and those are the parts he uses

  • It's an australian made ford falcon sedan '73 model...would have used some of the same parts as american fords, hence the family resemblance.

  • @boob72 yes this is a '73 ford but its a Ford Falcon xb GS '73 proudly Australian made my dad owns a Ford Falcon XB GT '74. and the US has got to stop taking all of them from us the US cart you just use what you got.

  • Comment removed

  • The bodies of these fords were designed completely in house by ford Australia & no body parts are interchangeable with American fords (except maybe the bonnet??). Many/most drivetrain & steering/suspension parts are interchangeable though.

  • soo Im not the only bugger who thought of it eh???? 70 Torino/71 Mach 1 mustang hybrid????

  • @69Cabeast They were inspired by American models, but they're definitely not clones of anything American built. You can see a few obvious parts that interchange (door handles, engines, gearboxes) but mostly, the answer is no

  • Fucking hot

  • give it the beejeezus

  • Car is an aussie XB GT Falcon with a 351 cleveland engine.

  • research mad max.the mad max pursuit car is a 302 boss windsor the interceptor was the 351 cleveland.oh and they were'nt gt falcons either they were built by steve bisley.

  • What kind of car is it though?

  • Very powerfull luck...and where is interceptor?

  • That is the most bad-ass cop car I've ever seen! I forgot how stunning these are, I wish our police used these!

  • utterly stunning car my man.probably the best replica ive seen, roop and charlie would be proud mate

  • i wonder if a 69 or 71 torino would be a good substitute for the falcon of the interceptor

  • no, no it wouldnt

  • That is just wicked! ;D
