yes, it's pea, lentil, hamburger, dough drop in, leftover turkey and rice...throw in the dressing, clean out the fridge, chunky and lunky, and make some soup!! This is some great soup makin' tunes.

Love pea soup, RR Don's mom makes the best i've had. But I just happen to make the best NE style chowder in the land. From my moms recipe of course, God bless her soul. She was the best cook on the planet, all moms are, right. Loved the music too. 5*****.....

When I was living on the outskirts of Paris, by the quarry pits at Les Mouliers, in a house without electricity or water except from a tap at the curb at the end of the road, I used to grind split peas in a coffee mill and make split pea pan cakes, usually before walking to the RER stop about ten miles away with my guitar to sing in the Paris Metros. People underestimate the split pea. That and lentals are really delicious foods. Great vid and music! Cinques Etoilles!

Everyone should be so lucky,........pureed ? a phenom I don't know if it was due to the marketability of condensed tinned soups......Andersons on the west coast serves it smooth, just like this, same ingredients.........they are on Interstate 5 in two places, almost a tourist destination in a waste land.........middle of the night pit stop, and you are good to go. pea soup, food of truckers, pioneers and survivalists (artists, musicians too:-) love you Scott!
I have eaten this vegetarian pea soup, not blended mind you, but cooked to a high slump topped with cheese and soy sauce, power food for surfing. You could take it too a lot of places on the planet where people would kill for it. But I digress, great slide playing Laurielee.

OK,....I can manage better, believe me:-) and the strings I hope jangle less as years go by,...my better soups are chicken enchilada (looks terrible tastes heavenly), clam chowder, Chicken Vegetable (from scratch),......and one I devised when my kids we little,,,,,tons of mixed veggies/taters in a pot, simmered with chicken broth, only cooked till tender , blended smooth, added cream topped with plenty grated cheese..., they gobbled it up (all those hidden veggies).teehee

uh, it just does not appeal to me, for some reason, maybe it was the half bottle of aunt jemima syrup and the bottle of pepto bismol by the stove, or i thought it was that, and the green stuff in the pan, and the thick stuff,, i just dont know, no bon appetit for me,,,
that is what makes it dickens-ish...the pink stuff is dishsoap, the aunt jemima is par for the course, a kid left it out, after breakfast..my pocket used ta cover only the real sap--now about 13-15$ a jug ...my kitchen the size of a boat galley ,&why the close company, syryp to soap. a life lesson tool for my sons,I call it survival food, & they groan, and then they dine --it is true, that when time a'plenty arrives, we are thankful. :-)

thanks so much Michael!!!! maybe we should have a soup share video group.......economic times are right for it....the familiar canned pea soup here is 2.49 average, per can, which is one serving...my homemade pot beat the cost by a wide margin!!.....love the steamy windows, too......XSO, Laurie

Peq,...I think tha tis marvelous, I used to be, a backslider.however--my pocketbook is the best reason to be one more often than not ! Yoppy--I think a California company "Andersons" ----so familiar to many, here, beginning with a restaurant in Solvang,. I think......they make it smooth, and it would be an interesting debate....smooth or rustic.? Mine always comes out a strange color, due to plentiful addition of carrots;-).....taste is what matters, I suppose..LOL
