@majorglenn yes it is, look at the RPM meter the red line starts at 4200 RPM which means it is a Diesel and the V8 is the biggest diesel engine available in the E class... the red line in V6 and V8 petrol engines starts at 5100- 5800 RPM, thats enough proof that this is a 400 CDi because a E 250 cdi can't reach 252 km/h

Nobody can even with modern technique. for your information: the Bugatti veyron engine will be used for calculated 1000 km before selling so it wont get broken. Its made for speed so the developers want prepare the engine before it gets onto the highway.

A young colleague of him just destroyed a brandnew 730d engine because he stepped on the gas all the time. The engine was broken after 400 km.

Hmm... Chiptuning?! Ich kann nur sagen, wir haben ein S400 CDI und der rastet bei 200 nicht so ein wie deiner! Guck mal an, wie langsam der beschleunigt!! Ich mein, für nen V8 reicht das nicht. Oder wenns wirklich einer sein sollte, kann ich dir nur Diesel Additiv empfehlen!! Ich bleib dabei, ist niemals ein 400 CDI!

Du Vogel, grau ist alle Theorie. Heute wird dafür am Kolbenmaterial, an den Abstreif- und Kolbenringen gespart. Ich bin übrigens selbst Ingenieur und schlage mich mit Messtechnik herum und kenne die Grenzen. Aber was heißt das schon bei YT. Hier rennen schließlich nur Chefentwickler und Astronauten herum.

@heros2110 Es laufen aber heutzutage auch beim Daimler Vögel rum, die behaupten, man muss sofort (0,0 km) mit Vollgas hochheizen um die "nicht ganz sauber abgeschliffenen Teile" abzuschleifen ... aber für mein Logikempfinden ist das auch genau so, als würde man versuchen, ein weiches Toastbrot so schnell wie möglich zu schneiden - es endet in nem total zerfetzen bisschen etwas. S320CDI 2001, 160tkm vom Chauffeur eingefahren Durchschnitt: 6,8L/100km & zieht wie am 1. Tag!
