  • ehem(cough) 12 austrians in the room

  • I would be glad to know he was gay! It means it's a gay orchestra with a gay compositer, so it's a damn good gay song!

  • Johannes Brahms wasn't gay

  • how have we reached to the gays topic from hungarian dance ?

  • Mr. Justice I have to remind you that one who judges other people judges himself :). I think we should enjoy this wonderful music, not to discuss other questions. Brahms has very emotional style. I hope that it is his music what had provoked you to start this debate :).

  • God this song is amazing.

    Every damn time.

  • Wyróżnienia dla tego filmu (0)

(Brak wyróżnień dla tego filmu.) ? ja się pytam co to kurwa ma znaczyć ?

  • Wow! Yay! That was soo good!

  • Why does the hoary old homosexuality debate get trucked out at any oppurtunity? Brahms was a genius, who gives a damn if he was homosexual, heterosexual or god knows what.

  • @LdHighEverythingElse Exactly. it's fucking annoying when people fight about pointless shit especially on such an amazing song :)

  • I don't understand the critics. It's important to judge artist upon sexual orientation.

  • lets do the upper clapton dance!

  • Those who love this man's work please say "I".

Those who hate/support gays say nothing.

  • professor green for the win

  • Played this at my band concert, went well, thank you Mr. Brahms for this beautiful piece

  • @MrJustuce I'm not gay. But why would gay be "disgusting"? If someone has a sexual preference that is different from yours, why would that bother you? Do they cheat, lie and steal from you? It comes down to this: You cannot accept another person as they are because you cannot accept yourself. In this day and age, I wouldn't want to be labeled as a bigot or racist. All the best to you.

  • @prokopton Who knows if he was gay or not. But what if he was? Would u like his music any less? If you would then i feel sorry for you for being so closed minded.

  • @romin256 We'll never know if he was gay. It makes no difference to me. You can always find something to hate these days. By the way, I'm the one supporting gay rights. It's Mr.Justuce that has an issue with homosexuals.

  • @prokopton Usually those that publicly and constantly proclaim hatred for homosexuals are closed minded closet cases themselves. But even if he was, his pieces are superb and practically a foundation for today's music. MrJustuce is just a hater. Probably hates everything by Reineke.

  • @prokopton

    what are wrong with gays?

  • @MTWLeonidas Nothing. I'm the one supporting gay rights. When the display is "@prokopton", it means that someone is responding to me, not me posting it. :-) I fully support gay rights.

  • @MrJustuce stupid, do some research on Brahms.

From wikipedia: Brahms never married, despite strong feelings for several women and despite entering into an engagement, soon broken off, with Agathe von Siebold in Göttingen in 1859. After Schumann's attempted suicide and subsequent confinement in a mental sanatorium near Bonn in February 1854, Brahms was the main intercessor between Clara and her husband, and found himself virtually head of the household.

  • @MrJustuce Homosexuality : a victimless crime

  • @nicolasmperrault You might want to switch those around? A "Crimless act" with victims

  • This my song for my ballet song!!!!

  • The music is stirring and wonderful. Most of the comments, however...

  • my ballz are swore

  • Одлично!

  • OMG! although i am not a fan of classical music, this specific is making my hair stand! ITS AMAZING!!!!

  • MAGYARORSZAG!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • not sure but i think ita a Ukrainian song

  • I remember a speed-up version was used for a bathroom tissue commercial back in the 1960s. It asked the question "How can a soft bathroom tissue be stubborn?"

  • Very amazing work. It kind of wants me want to break out dancing! :)

  • I played this song in school years ago i still remember how to play !!!!

  • ador:X

  • like it matters if he was guy? His work is what people should discuss about ;)

  • Such a powerful song, almost want to burst out and dance !

  • i'm half hungarian:-)

    the song it's great!

  • i can play play part of this on the piano, its actually quite easy, once you get used to it.

this song is awesome. thumbs up if you agree that this song is awesome.

  • wow, i like this song. Its soo cool. AWESOME. ♥

  • @gamorr @gamorr Is there anything wrong with a gay person? I'm not gay but I support gay rights. Even if I was gay I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as I was a good person. IWhether people are gay or not has no effect on my life. They're human beings just like everyone else.

If you want to pick on a group, pick on Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Government. Way better ways to spend time and energy than worry about a person's sexual preference.

  • @prokopton Then why do you gay rights people go on about it all the time? I can't get through a day without encountering homosexuality, and that is almost entirely due to the gay rights mob. Its the same with race, it is the people who say it doesn't matter, who draw attention to it at every opportunity

  • @prokopton LMAO IF YOU WERE SMART ENOUGH TO WORK FOR THOSE GUYS YOU WOULD SHUT THE FUCK UP, FAGGOT.2nd CLOSEST FAGS LIKE U SHOULD BE BURNED

  • @Fabio2324 O hai troll.

  • @gamorr I found no reference to that anywhere, I'm afraid.

  • @gamorr and you are above all a poor jealous of genius.

  • @gamorr screw off if u dont have balls u ass munch (or was he actually gay)

  • @gamorr You`re such an idiot!!! But who cares about your comment? You just can`t compare to such a genius that Brahms is.

  • beautiful

  • 1:07 Lovely :D

  • I love Magyarorszag.

    Szia Julius 2011

  • Ich bin kein Opernfan.

    Aber ich liebe Ungarn.

Und das Lied ist Typisch Ungarisch.

  • so amazing....... Tbilisi, Georgia

  • Georgia loves Brams too........Tbilisi........

  • ohh ths music is i cant explian but kanda like calming and i dont know how to say it!!

  • this is brilliant!

  • this inspires me

  • Imagine a man murdering the world.

  • just learned this song on piano :)

  • you know a lot of brahms' songs weren't his own? he used a lot of other music which he incorporated into his own pieces. it still sounds good, no bad moods here, just saying that he can't really be a genious if it's not completely his work.

  • eljenek a magyarok !!!!!!!!!!

  • Eight people do not understand REAL music.

  • brahms was a genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ima white boyyy but still lyk this :D

  • I`m romanian and I love Hungary. I wish I was born there.

  • i've never been to sure about this, but where exactly is hungary located?

  • @xXFloresXxpwnz europe.

  • @luckyanamare thx, i'll look tht up :)

  • @luckyanamare I love Europe but I feel that the European Union is destroying it.

They seem to be attempting to merge all the great cultures into one but they do not realize that doing this is actually reducing the amount of culture there is here.

Its such a terrible shame. :-(

  • @xXFloresXxpwnz It's a landlocked country in Central Europe that borders Austria, Ukraine and Romania (and a few other smaller countries like Slovakia, Serbia and Croatia). Budapest is an awesome city. You really should go if you ever get a chance.

  • @jasmith909 Is it true that Budapest is actually split in two.. Buda and Pest?..

  • @STOPTHEEU Yes, it's split by the Danube river. Technically it is three cities; Buda, Old Buda (or Óbuda), and Pest, with a small island, i.e. Old Buda Island, in the middle of the river.

  • @jasmith909 Ah I see. The Danube? :-) I never realised it was so long.

Im from Manchester in Great Britain. I don't know much about Hungary but I had heard this about Budapest. :-)

  • @jasmith909

I'd rather say it technically used to be three cities but since 1873 it's been one.

  • beautiful :)

    aaaand i'm proud, because i'm hungarian :)

  • i'm from RO and hungary sucks

  • Comment removed

  • I'm arabic and i love hungary :)

  • gypsies are constantly persecuted by hungarians because the hungarians are a barbaric people.

  • @doooobies332

have you ever been in HU? did you ever see when the mentioned people were persecuted by hungarians?

  • @doooobies332 Anyone who was not Greek (way back when), was considered "Barbarian". That word actually means "Non Greek People" in its original sense. The Hungarians were a non-Aryan nation of people, who, according to what I've read, kept their non-Aryan language but adopted the general religion and manners of Europeans. Other non-Aryan peoples who survived the push into Europe by the western branch of Aryans (long before reliable, recorded, history) are the Basques, the Fins and Laps.

  • I heard this in a looney tunes episode. the way they acted ti out was soo funny i loved it

  • I feel like to dance every time when im listing this song. I cant stop my legs :)

  • The Hungarians have not always been kind to the Gypsy people :(

  • @TheTr37 and do you know why? because gypsies have no ANY respect of others' life and even properties... :(

Invite some gypsy families into your home and try to live with them. :D

  • is it german Music ?

  • Johannes Brahms was a German composer, but he lived the majority of his professional life in Vienna, Austria. So, nationality wise, this could be German music, but I hear influences of Austrian living in it. But it has a robust Hungarian feel to it. Just my two cents.

  • Comment removed

  • Hmm.....not very very well executed. It would have been great with a violin solo.

  • I love this so much.

  • Love it:) Hungarian rythms rulz:D

  • Sunt absolut de acord.

  • Brahms was German.

  • Brahms "ist" deutsch :D

  • @jasmith909 és?!

  • @hunyopi Seems a little out of context doesn't it? I wrote that a while ago as a response to someone who was saying Brahms was Hungarian (Magyar). I'm surprised it's one of the highest rated.

  • @jasmith909 Yes, but the music is based on Hungarian motives!!! So we are proud that a German composer chose our Hungarian music to compose that masterpiece from !!!!!!

  • ienre is képesek a magyarok kár h már semmire:S
