I'm certainly not impartial about PH's music either! Thanks for the info. I noticed the vocal track and mix were different than the one I've known for years from Over. One of my favorite albums. Hammill is always intense, usually cerebral but rarely as passionate and utterly vulnerable as he is on Over--probably because it was so personal. I'd like to hear the version from Love Songs.

Silverskid is right ! This version is not the 'Over'-original. What you hear right now actually is the version from LOVE SONGS. I was wrong below.

Here the true story: for LoveSongs Peter took the original masters, redubbed and remixed, and added new vocals (except for 'BeenAloneSoLong'). The rest of my text was o.k.: on the 2006 Over-CD is the (real) original and the KansasCity-bonus track. BTW nice comment of silverskid ...

This is the original version from "Over" (record from 1977). On the "Over"-CD from 2006 there is also a live version from Kansas City as a bonus track.

In addition to these two versions you'll find a wonderful remake of Peter himself on his "The Love Songs" - record/cd.

You can easily order both (Over and LoveSongs). I assure you, you won't regret it.

But maybe I'm not quite impartial about Peter Hammill's music :)
