Sonic 3 debug - Instant Super Sonic

Wow i had the mega collection and sold it because i wanted the ultimate collection BIG mistake i found out that the ultimate version on ps3 does not have sonic 3 and knuckles!!!! just sonic 123 and sonic and knuckles but not S3AK which was both games combined and made easy to debug NOW im stuck doing the infamous sonic 3 code at the title screenHELP.

Guys, debug mode is a code for S3! go to angel island, get on a vine thing, and press left left left, right right right, up up up.

i know this is a cheat but i heard you can go supersonic by getting 50 rings, is it true?

You can't just collect fifty rings.

You have to find seven giant rings throughout the game and complete the puzzles inside.

I am playing Sonic 3 on PS3 but i tried entering the Sound Test (Square/A + Start) but it doesn't come :(! how can you do that??

Go to the first swinging vine in the level, input left,left,left,right,right,rig­ht,up,up,up.

If you hear the ring sound you've done it. reset the game (or just die 3 times) and push down till you see it. Enjoy!

P.S. That code you have is bull.

I tried as quick as I can on my gamecube, but I can never access the Level Select. Also, why in this video on Debug Mode did you go to Knuckles path?

2: Try using S3&K if you want to use the level select.

Start entering the code (U,U,D,D, and press U repeatedly until you hear the ring.) as soon as the screen turns black and sonic appears as a little ball. you should enter the code quickly before the white flash.

I though it was while the screen turns white and then press the buttons. I have Mega Collection. Will it work the same way when the screen turns black, but not white?

You're just in Sonic 3, not Sonic 3 and K you should list that because a lot of glitches only happen on Sonic 3. I bet if you went there with Sonic and Knuckles hooked up you can fight robotnik

Sonic Team did this so then they could test Super Sonic without using up hours just to get the Chaos Emeralds like Sonic 2. With the formally new Hyper Sonic programmed into S&K, they changed the super form to said Hyper Sonic character seeing that Super Sonic was 100% complete.

How can I do this on the PC, because I don't know which button is the restart button. And when I go to file, it says junk like "FastFoward", "Motion" or something like that.

You mean the button that puts you into debug? It's the Esc button. You can't place objects though.

I recommend you do it with Sonic 3 & Knuckles, because debug mode in Sonic 3 alone requires the insanely hard, hair-tearing level select code. Anyways, go to Angel Island. When you see the three orange vines near the beginning of the level, hold on to one and press Left Left Left, Right Right Right, Up Up Up. You'll hear the Ring sound. Pause and press Square.

You'll arrive at the title screen. Go down two times or press up, and you'll see a new option called "Sound Test". It's actually the level select. Go to Mushroom Hill 1. Find the pulley thing at the beginning of the level, then do the same thing you did with the Angel Island vines. Again, press Start and Square. Go back to the level select screen, and hold down Square to activate debug mode on a level when you select one. Square reverses gravity, X puts you in debug mode. Circle is jump button.

If you're in debug, press Square to cycle through the obstacles and enemies available in the level. I strongly recommend you check out the monitor in debug, because it turns you into either Hyper Sonic, Hyper Knuckles, or Super Tails when hit. You can have as much rings as you like to keep yourself in your Hyper form for a LONG time.
