Focus tape is a pre-marked out piece of tape or fabric with all the light positions marked out. People use it for quicker changeovers. It's basically a full scale light plot.

Actually, that would be hang tape. Focus tape is webbing laid out across the stage and up center line. It's ticked off by the foot. It's really helpful when focusing a different show everyday.

As an SFO electrics alum (Board Op '79/'80) I just loved this video!!! The Lekos may now be Source 4s, but the reliance on a hard-working, dedicated crew of energetic young people is still the same.
