Turn off the ignition (just take the key out), than press and hold the mileage button, while your holding it, turn on the ignition (but dont turn the engine on). After a few seconds you should get 'test' on the screen, then you can just circle through the options by pressing the mileage button. It shows you lots of stuff like, gauge test, bulb test, mph speed, kmh speed and so much more. Even three diagnostics check. I'll get a list of it later on.

As far as i know on UK moddles of the fiesta mk6 you need to hold the indicator in the left position for the re/set botton to be active.

well in the civics the ecu clearly reprogramms it self according to the previous utilization.

Also works with a 2005 Ford Focus. I accidentally did it as i was in a rush and was resetting my odo as i started the car.
