  • My grandfather passed away from cancer three years ago. He left his police issue .357 Colt Python to my father, the very same revolver that my dad accidentally shot himself when he was a year old. Its sixty years old and still fires like its brand new. That weapon is the single most amazing firearm ever produced

  • It's beautiful :*)

  • the pacific main theme!!!

  • Pythons are awesome revolvers but anything less than a 6" barrel has been castrated

  • @kdo54 I certainly wouldn't bet MY balls on it, :-), although I know what you mean, don't sell a newbie to the Python short, so to speak. A 2 1/2" or 4" will get the job done, just depends on the job.

Remember, too, that the Python has always been listed as a target pistol, and when wheelers were IT, the Model 19 S and W users would scream tooth and nail, but then on the salary of the day, they couldn't afford a Python, and were quite jealous. A collection of Python and Diamondback, awesome.

  • No offense but the Band of Brothers soundtrack in the background makes the video look gay.

  • @Transformers2themax Exactly what I was thinking

  • @chopstick223 Lol. That was the only dislike I ever had for that show.

  • @Transformers2themax

I thought it fit the tv series well, I just think its crap in this video.

  • I think I just had a religious experience...

  • this would be the last gun I will buy and then stop buying... nice music

  • full metal barrel , hammer , drum full black . Oh every real mens dream

  • You know, dispite all these 500 nitro express revolvers and w/e comming into production I'd still prefer to have this. It's practical, looks nice and fires a VERY brutal round which leaves the barrel at quite a high fps... what fps is it though? I have no idea lol. Btw why band of brothers theme song in the back ground haha? it does sound epic but still just wondering.

  • its not that great of a gun

  • @dalanhesegabe obviously you don't own one or have shot one

  • @dalanhesegabe so you don't own one, or have not shot one. Too bad. Maybe someday.

  • @dalanhesegabe it rules.

  • @dalanhesegabe Well.. compared to a rifle, or a shotgun, yeah. But I'll be damned if it isn't one of the most supremely accurate handguns I've ever had the pleasure of shooting.

  • that magnum was so good capcom put it in resident evil 1 and resident evil directors cut you can get an infinte colt python

  • @zzboy64 how come video games have to be mentioned in so many gun videos? I am not rtying to rag on you alone, but it seems alot of people say that whatever video they are watching about guns (GLOCK, SIG, Colt, etc...) is so good it is used in video games, and TV shows. It really grinds my gears ya know?

  • @kedisy Gunshop employees are frequently rubbed the wrong way by kids that go in asking about Desert Eagle, Glock and M16. A while back around here a kid went into a shop and asked "where da glocks at?" while standing right in front of the case full of glocks (apparently not even knowing what a glock looks like.) More recently I saw some 14 year old kid talking about the superiority of the Deagle. A very large fat guy once said all of the AR variants in stock "weren't tactical enough." Painful.

  • @Makingnewnamesisdumb Painful indeed.

  • @kedisy Nothing new really. This has been going on for a long long time. Look at the Colt Single Action Army. People regard it as the ideal "Old West" pistol. And such guns and movies brought the modern sport of Cowboy Action Shooting. When the Dirty Harry movie came out. People went out and bought lots of .44 Magnum revolvers, and S&W sales went through the roof. The only thing thats happening differently is, its shifted to video games for this generation.

  • Hmmmm, now that's a revolver!

  • The Colt Python: where artwork meets functionality. devinci would be proud.

  • is the barrel 4 inches?

  • that thing is just beautifull :D

  • A thing of beauty :D

  • The music from Band of Brothers

  • this song IS the intro to my favourite tv series ever!!!!! BAND OF BROTHERS!!

  • Man I'm 13 and I'll love this gun forever

    And it's very accurate

  • lol @ music

  • XD the themsong from band of brother HA cool vid man I am glad you have thought of that

  • they were based on the outstanding colt trooper, first called the colt 357, all very closlely built alike.

  • shoot!!

  • yeah band of brothers FTW

  • i didnt know the python came in a snub nose :D

  • in England in 1972 they used to call this gun the , Rolls Royce of handguns. I had tha 6 inch barrel model, a magnificent sidearm!

  • Love it, Check out mine on my youtube channel!

  • WOW..

  • isnt this music in Band of Brothers?

  • yep

  • yes it is in band of brothers, the best serie ever.

  • questo non è semplicemente un revolver

    è un'opera d'arte W le armi del cavallino.

This is not simply a revolver

This is a work of art

    w guns horse.

Esto no es simplemente un revólver

Esta es una obra de arte

    armas w caballo

  • Gosh, if it was a woman why I'd stick my boner in there and make love to it - KA -BOOM!!!

  • The most beutiful revolver ever made. RIP Colt Pyton, you are missed.

  • saw 1 of those at a pawn shop 500$ hope i dosnt get sold

  • a beautiful gun

  • Its the most powerful gun in the world my son and i can say that im graced by god for owning it , u take care now little fellas

  • i almost cried

  • que fea mierda de balas .357 aggg

  • wtf! what is this? gun lovers porn? ever consider SHOOTING the damn thing??

  • *Sniff* It's so beautiful...

  • *eyes open wide**soft voice* is that real

  • that is a beautiful sweet gun.....your lucky!

  • i came

  • 1 bullet = 1 very large hole

  • Its just a shame Colt does not make the Python anymore and worst of all Colt is not as good as they where once where meaning that they been though so many change of management . Since the day Winchester sold Colt it was down hill since but the good news is the ledgen of Colt will live for every.

  • YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!

You can't imagine how Python was loved and respected here in Italy!!

The same as a peace of Renaissance Art!!!!

  • I knew Italy was pro gun of course Italy is also home of another great ledgen Breatta which is the oldest gun manufature in the world. I have a friend who is from Italy when he first came to America the first gun he bought was the Colt Python.

  • @Captb55806 your spelling is terrible

  • @darkterry626 That just because my keyboard is mess up.

I got a new one and it works better.

  • @Captb55806 well then im lucky to have one arent i

  • @KLATTOMATT Keep it as long as you can. To me guns are a great investment as long as you take care of them. Some guy on you tube had a 1972 Colt Python mint in the box and it never was fired. That right there is a good investment.

  • Ever busted a cap in anyones ass b4 with it?.

  • Do they even produce these guns today? If not what the hell was Colt thinking, this is the best revolver for a .357 in my opinion.

  • @GamertagDrJmegaman they still do

  • lol whats the music named?

  • its the Band of Brothers theme

  • Yes, she was a beauty when it protected me from the cold grips of animated corpses in that nightmare that was the Spencer Estate...seeing their entire noggins explode with a pull of a trigger...yes, good times, good times.

  • hard to find i wish i had one for my collecrtion

  • hey do u know were i can get a six inche royal blue finsh. my dad used to have one i might get it for christmas for him

  • oh go its so beautiful, and with the music.... seriously it takes me back like to like 1998 when i found something very true to my heart and is part of who i am.... resident evil

  • My dad just bought a '66 Python. Cant wait to shoot it.

  • You mean cant wait to be shooted by it ??

  • WTF?

No, I meant what I said. "I can't wait to shoot it".

  • i cried while watching this ahahaha

  • cool vid. liked the band of brothers music. next time id spice it up a little though and shoot the damn thing.

  • awe inspiring!

  • that is a lighter

  • sooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COOL LOL

    HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • long and boring, let's have some action!

  • You, sir, I am jealous of. that gun is so beautiful... The grip, the cilinder... It is so simple yet so complex... God I love that gun!

  • never wanted anything so badly in my life. i might eat vienna sausage for a year or so to buy one!

  • then at 0:26, skips to die motherfucker die by dope and see plumley off we were soldiers raping viets with his 1911. looooool

  • Nice music. Band of Brothers?

  • sounds like it, all ways puts a lump in my throat

  • One of the most beautiful guns colt has ever made if you ask me. I have the 6" barrel version. The Pythons with the 4" barrels are very hard to find and are worth some serious money. And the Python in the video is in mint condition. nice gun sir

  • is that a 6" barrel?

  • looks like 2.5"

  • 4" barrel

  • oh ok thanks

  • i got the band of brothers collection for christmas its now my favorite wwII movie i like it even better than saving private ryan cuz its more real

  • beautiful piece of engineering is there a longer barrel version

  • If you're going to use the Band of Brothers theme, let's see a Colt 1911 or maybe a .38 Special (since they were featured in the series).

  • Music suits the video kinda.

  • is this metal?

  • No its heavymetal,LOL

  • Love the Colt Python, magnificent engineering it is the revolver equivalent of a Rolls Royce.

BUT the Smith and Wesson K 38 Combat Masterpiece is still and ever shall be the Prince of Revolvers! (Can you tell I am passionate?)

  • And the Smith and Wesson M500 is the goddamn dictator of revolvers!

  • Because of its miniature 50. bullet?

  • Mini .50? Well yes it's smaller than the .50 BMG rifle round but it's a fair amount bigger than the .50 AE pistol round (used in Desert Eagles). So if your definition of .50 is an AE than no it's not mini. If you think of the BMG then yes it's smaller and yes that's why it dictates revolvers because the next highest caliber that isn't similar to the .50 AE is the BMG.

  • band of brothers great music and vids

    LONG LIVE COLT FIREARMS

    gonna get me a colt 1911 .45 cant wait o be 21!

  • Awesome music

    Band of Brothers kicks ass

  • name of the song!! please :)

  • It's from "Band of Brothers;" the theme song of that popular mini-series about WWII paratroopers.

  • name of the song!! please :)

  • 38 SLUG!!!!!!

  • As far as I know they are still avaiable through the Colt costume shop, thoug at a steep price!

  • I almost owned one! Now I'm kicking myself in the butt!

  • I had one, 6 ", used to sleep with it under my pillow. Lost it in the damn divorce. Don't miss him but sure do miss that gun!

  • OOOh I´m sorry about the Colt!

  • Man that music was the opening theme music to BAND OF BROTHERS. Hehe. I own it on dvd so it stuck out with me.

  • i love that show. i dont have it on dvd but i have recorded almost all the episodes on tv. BAND OF BROTHERS ROCKS

  • a pistola mia

  • Gimmie the 8" baby!

  • these cant be very accurate can they? im not trying to argue, just wondering lol

  • They are extremly acuarate in the right hands. I have 2 of them a 4 in. and a 10 in. I killed a hog at close to 80 yards with the iron sights. Thier acuracy is well known among the revolver crowds. Regretfuly Colt stopped making them in the late 90s I belive.

  • the all chrome 8 inch look bad ass i had one but it got jacked

  • is this a more recent revolver than the king cobra? and is it a better revolver?

  • It was first produced in the 50's. King Cobra's are nice revolvers, but the python is the king of the revolvers in many people's eyes.

  • that is badass

  • soooo cute this magnum

  • The people from Colt really have their heads up their asses. Why would you take a beautiful revolver like this and stop making them? The stuff they do still offer is way over priced too. I wanted a 1911 from Colt just for the nostalgia of it, but they want me to pay an arm and a leg for something that was once a dime a dozen and has never been a tack driver. Who do they think they are?

  • can you messege me where you got it and how much it was?

  • omfg he has a motherfucking gun

  • or Band of brothers!

  • the music from uhhh saving private ryan ? innit?

  • my grandfather has one.

  • well if you talkin about a black man with this gun i have one..my grandfather gave me this gun along with a 30-30 rifle

  • yeah they always carry glocks or uzis.

  • i love the band of brothers music in the background! personally i prefer the colt anaconda- 44 magnum yah!

  • A moronic statement from an obvious idiot.

  • i'm in the gun business for 30 years now. and every nigger wants to buy that gun.

  • i didn't say that they can!

    yeah you are absolutely right.

  • you are italian, so SHUT THE FUCK UP!

  • LMAO

  • ever since I set eyes on this I've wanted one.

  • yeah me too.. :O

Call it a gun for black people, i dont care its a nice gun!

  • Beautiful. I've got one of those, but its had so many rounds through it and it's been in and out of the holster so many times, it's lookin' pretty tired.

  • GORDON FREEMAN!!!! *runs away*

  • awesome!! but like it better in the 6'' model, but still.... Awesome!!^^

  • Good choice of music...the gun is smaller than I thought it would be

  • cud have atleast shot it gosh man

  • Speaking for myself. I perfer the Colt .45 Single Action (Colt Peacemaker) and the Colt .45 Lightning (Peaceamaker with double-action ability) but this gun still looks nice as well. I may have to try one someday. Nice job.

  • beautiful gun, love the name Python!

  • lawl band of brothers music :P

  • sweet, sweet gun porn

  • if this was a 44 magnum that would be bad ass

  • 357. is better all round, than 44. magnum if u look at the ballistics 357. in high power loads can match 44. magnum with easier control, for revolvers nothing is better than colt python 357. for semi 92fs 9mm and u have the 2 best handguns ever :)

  • i still choose 44 mag cause thats what i grew up wit ma dad had a smith & wesson model 29 and thats the first revolver i ever shot

  • o dayng!!! i can see the gun in the reflection of the camera lense in the reflection of the gun hahah.. sweet wheel gun mayn ill have me a 44 spcl soon!!

  • ................... tall snub!!!!!!!!!!! O_O

  • I thought the Python only came in .44 Magnum?

  • Oh sorry I'm thinking of the Colt Anaconda

  • Royal blue, walnut, SIX inches... better than sex.

  • what cal?

  • nvm saw at the end it was .357 :P

  • looks exactly like the one in half life 2

  • HL2 almost convinced me to buy one of these. It's just such a damn awesome weapon. However, the one in HL2 is a 6" I think, and it has some kind of custom grip.

I think I'm going to go for an anaconda though, because for some reason, they're cheaper.

  • Colt doesn't sell these anymore..u know that right?

  • Colt doesn't sell any double action revolvers anymore.

  • why not?

  • "They worshiped those things they made with their hands." -- The Bible

  • Nice Python. I have a 6" with the royal blue finish... They are probably the most beautiful revolvers ever made.

  • fancy

  • You should try getting customized grips and spring kits for it. My Dad (who is a pro gunsmith) did it himself and he also polished the sears. It made a huge difference in trigger pull and accuracy. His Python is by far the sharpest and most accurate handgun i've ever fired and hes owned it for 20 years.

  • great vid

im on cam and bored BE

  • wow, nice.
