the car is fantastic. it looks sort of arty space age/semi safari and fun, i love it. my dad has one exactly like the one on the video but without the spoiler. he never ever has problems at all with the car. it doesnt leak and it stays outside in all weather. it does waste about 8 or 9 litres in the city and isnt for fast freeway driving as at about 110 kms its already on 3100 rpm. . but the mechanics are unbeatable. i am going to buy one soon.its fun and reliable and a good family car.
oh my god what a lemon the '99 automatic models are!!!!!!
i bought one for $12,000 and the cvt went. i called honda and was told that once i paid $6,000 for new parts to get rid of it as every 50,000kms or so i would be up for a new cvt.
Ah yes the HRV. I have the same model as the one in the video, right down to the colour. Only problem is, mine doesn't run- have replaced the transmission, & clutch, electrics are shite and it smells like old cheese when it rains due to the leaks. That's on a 5 year old car with only city driving! I think perhaps a Mazda next time... :-(
I've got one. A 1999 reg. Drove it all the way to Moscow and back.
The HR-V will never let you down. I will never sell mine...I will keep it for my son or daughter.

I DO NOT AGREE -> in 90km/h motor turns on 3000rpm.
That's why has higher consumption fuel. If you drive higher speed motor turns HIGH.
I think 130km/h = 4000rpm (or more)
THIS car is not for FAST SPEED - Is higher and comfortable.
LOOK IS GREAT

no problems with the autos mechanically, but your better off with a stick. With a stick you have more control over the prower. I have a Cr-v 5 speed.
