@XxInMySanexX Yes, he can deke and, as ty0214 said, he can shoot. Compare that to Datsyuk who plays offensively, defensively, playmakes, has better hands than Ovi, Dats is better.

I was wrong to say he can only deke, but he isn't as great of a playmaker, and he has no defensive talent. He's a great player and I love watching him, but all he can do is offensive shooting and dekeing. He's better than Criesby, but not better than Datsyuk.

Yes, Ovechkin can pass and do playmaking, but he's not nearly as good at that as he his at shooting and dekeing. I hate Crosby, but I have to admit he's a better playmaker and Datsyuk, with the possible exception of St. Louis, is the best playmaker in the leauge.

Not to take (too much) away from this goal, but I think people see it and think it's never been done before. This is not the first time this had happened, and if the goalie hadn't been so far out of position it would have been an easy save. Ovechkin is a great, great player (maybe kind of a showboat, but still great), but this isn't the amazing goal many people think it is.
