  • you know, we can stop telling you the weather if you want us to. then what?

  • ok I LOVE George Carlin and think he ws a comical genius. But this was incredibly LAME. Thankfully, he got better as he got older, because this was subpar from beginning to end. Rest in Peace man.

  • haha that was super funny

  • Did anyone know that George Carlin was in pixar movie Cars. I guess you can figure out what character he is. I never new that until just now

  • He sounds like Eli Manning being interviewed.

  • "There it is man" "One for everybody man" This type of comedy NEVER gets old

  • why is he dead. WHY

  • Carlin was just your typical mic... except he was intelligent AND funny.

  • Video is very good quality! Amazing! Thanks for this!

  • What a classic! Simple and hilarious!

  • i seriously can't believe how hot he was

  • It looks rather high quality for something from the sixties.

  • @Strattou quality was alrite, i bet they could film in 1080p 20 years ago, just the sceens suck so we cud never see the datail, its the same as today, but they are working on much higher resolution, just imagine if everything was rentina display like iphone 4

  • he's talking about me :D

  • @h1ppidippi Admit it, you took that alias just to make that comment huh? Really sad to see what people do for attention these days but you get a :D for effort. ;)

  • he's talking about me :D

  • this is one of the many videos of carlin. but this is different because he doesn't have hair down there.

  • its very odd to see him young and shaved

  • For those of you who have a problem with gingers, take a close look a the mans hair.

That's right it's red. Awww yeahhh.

  • @GoodGlaven That's a hat.

  • @GoodGlaven lol, seems like u have a problem...not every1 else... stop trying to prove that a hair color is better than any other...just fucking stfu for fuck sake you stupid fuck

  • @mahyoo I'm not trying to prove anything friend. I was just making an observation. And the fact that everyone

seems to rag on red heads drove me to point out that this legend has red hair. Judging by your reaction, it seems like you have the problem.

    Have a nice life.

  • @GoodGlaven If anyone EVER has absolutely NOTHING to do and wants to waste their time they can read most of the worthless fighting comments on YouTube zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Get lives!!

  • @jamzusa No way man, I came here to see Goerge Carlin!

  • Holy crap George looks young in this.

  • @cartmammainia Well considering this was from 1966, he was only 35 at the time.

  • @666Brago haha. good point.

  • @cartmammainia Correction: he was 29 at the time, born in 1937

  • i dont know man, i dont see kauffman or allen or anybody. george is just george haha

  • @dantheman201190 you can hear it more than you can see it , the voice. But yeah thats goerge. in 1966

  • I thought he only worked in through the 70s

  • @13malewantpizza nope he released a dvd in 08 or 09

  • @TheSmackfan101 I know that Wat I meant was I didn't know he worked in the 60s

  • @13malewantpizza George Carlin did what he loved to do until his death in 2008 for over fifty years.

  • You guys need to remember than times were VERY different back then, if he put on an act like he did in his older years, they would have locked his ass in jail.

And on that note, he did when he came up with the famous "7 words that you can't say on Television". He didn't really care for this kind of act, but he had no choice. Sheesh people, I'm only 19 and I'm aware of all of this. Do your research.

  • Luck of the Irish. George said Sullivan wanted him on cause he was Irish.

  • I thought the crowd was actually responding quite well, then fell silent at the last joke which was the best :P

  • @Manbeast222 I disagree crowd was terrible.....

  • i blame this on Sullivan and his suckass bitchfass fuckass dumbass crowd who better all be dead now

  • i'm so glad he grew, and became the king that he was. lets face it, this stuff is dated, weak and quite lame. he became a fucking comedic and social insight monster though. what a singular talent !

  • I don't see how these rules in society stay put, they are so fleeting...

  • This was prior to the 7 dirty words you can't use on TV.

  • he sorta reminds me of my chemistry teacher who told our class about him

  • There's a disturbing amount of trolling going on in the comments for this video. Trolls: fuck off. Everyone else: ignore the trolls. They only want attention.

  • @lexo30 What is a trolls? do they live in Nilbog?

  • I like the original one better. Well the special wit the seven words you can't say on television

  • death to america

  • ed sullivan was an asshole he kick the doors off the show for a line that used in light my fire

  • this isn't funny at all

  • @barrett90

then get back to watching poop jokes in family guy

  • @TheKenTerry

im not, they just arent anywhere close to george

  • Carlin said in his last autobiography that the ed sullivan show was a torture chamber for comedians. if ed didn't laugh, nobody laughed.

  • how come he was allowed to say "mexican high" but morrison couldn't say "get much higher"?

  • @butterf1yz

    Good point.

  • @tgstkmop Apparently you like him, you called him your friend!

  • Comment removed

  • @tgstkmop I guess you don't have a sense of humor, dickhead. You don't have to be angry at me because you have a shitty life. So go violently fuck yourself, you worthless piece of shit.

  • @joshsfknusername No, I don't think I will. Happy Holidays, friend ;)!!!

  • @tgstkmop Hahaha, so I have to abuse you a little to get a smile out of ya :) Happy holidays to you as well, pal!

  • @RJiminez51 Carlin sucked?! No, my friend you suck.

  • @RJiminez51 WHAT? George Carlin is one of the best comedians who has ever lived!

  • You can tell he hated this too. When he rolls his eyes, he's thinking "Jesus Christ, I hate having to restrict myself for this shit!"

  • Lol in his autobiography George said he HATED doing eds show.

  • Eventhough Sullivan liked to fuck with young comedians I still think that Carlin did a good job here

  • Was he ever that young? I think it's a pity that the audience didn't like him that much.

  • Looks like a strange Brando

  • too bad i'm to young to have watched this klassik comedy on this klassik show!!!!!

  • fuck sullivan!

  • He didnt seem to happy to be doing this skit lol.

  • I read about this in his autobiography. :P You guys should read it.

  • holy shit thats him?

  • Lmfao He was such a coke head... I been there too... He got sober later in life... you are witnessing a Genius in the making.... RIP GC. A comedian who kept it REAL.

  • How come he didn't get shit for saying 'high' on Ed Sullivan when the Doors got kicked off for saying it 6 months later?

  • God, he looks so young...

  • I DON'T CARE BOUT NO L.L. BEAN!!!!!!!

  • Carlin was hilarious. One of the truly great comedians.

  • lmao the carlin bashers r one person who can't get laid so gets his jollies off by talking shit about the man.........carlin was d best....troday's comedians can't beat him

  • @FightingForFreedom23 If you find it so dumb, what are you posting in this thread for ? Go seek out the clips you find more attractive to you. Us dumb fucks will be right here when you need us. Bye

  • ленивые пидарасы - вот нет чтоб перевести!

  • @Djdfymrf Учи английский, пидор

  • Your ideas are filled with so many holes and contradictions. It's no wonder you feel the need to attack Carlin. You must feel threatened by the mental clarity that he represents. Otherwise you wouldn't waste your time on posting and arguing with other people for such a "dumb" comedy skit.

  • "I know more about the nature of real reality than Carlin did". This is coming from somebody who constantly rants about intelligent design, yet also rants about how the human species should "evolve" out of our "jungle" mentality. Someone who believes the 911 and illuminati conspiracy theories and believes what Alex Jones says yet also believes that Obama is a genuine leader. Someone who claims to reject all religions, yet follows his own.

  • I should do an Al Sleet routine the next time I teach English to my students here in Taiwan. Even better for a teaching demo.

  • This is in 1966 when George was still trying to find his way in the world of comedy. Al Sleet was an experiment that was popular with the people who were, at the time, his audience and did not understand the "stoner". This bit, if you look at is in a shallow way, as you did, is juvenile and immature but is in fact a caricature and a social commentary on the separation between the "squares" and the "hipsters".

  • This act is juvenile, period. The idea that you would even try and make an intellectual argument for this shows your juvenility. I highly doubt Georgie boy was trying to do some "social commentary" lol He was doing a dumb joke about a dumb hippy weatherman...and it wasnt funny, period.

  • He talked about it way back when he had his radio show when idiots like you would call and say the same thing and he pretty much said the same thing I told you. You think I just pulled that out of my ass and make some unfounded claim like you did? No, I am a big fan of Carlin and I have listened to old tapes of his radio program. Withing 3 days of his first portrayal of Al Sleet someone called and he told them what the bit was all about. It's not just my theory, it's fact.

  • Oh yea right, Carlin said it..must be true! Even if it was..so what lol Jokes still not funny, act is still juvenile...like I said before, I seen better acts than this at my old high school variety show!

  • Of cource it's true if he said it, it's his fucking act. Unabashed idiocy is what you have shown me today. You still don't get it and talking to you further would be like trying to kick water up a hill. Good day.

  • Of cource he was a comedian, he wrote jokes as well as comenting in the social context. He made people laugh at things people don't find funny. You have the right not to find him funny but you can't say he wasn't a comedian just because you dont get what he's trying to do. I never liked Andy Warhol and I dont get what he does but he's still an artist.

  • @FightingForFreedom23 you are such an ignorant idiot.... the man is trying to explain something to you and you just won't let it sink. Fuck you, you should be celebrating his genius...RIP Carlin.

  • Explain what? I dont see any hidden intellectual bit in this, all I see is a dumb stereotypical joke...that isnt funny. And the crowd not really laughing is evidence that is not funny. Carlin shouldve stuck to what hes good at...social commentary. Doing this kind of bit didnt cut it, so boo hoo to you if you want to cry about it.

  • @FightingForFreedom23

    YOU CAN SUCK MY DICK!

    Fuck you!

    -thank you

  • My mother always gets a kick outta Al Sleet. She grew up watching Carlin in the 60s.

  • And to think he was nervous as fuck in this show. A true professional.

  • the worlds best weather man yeay for you... man

  • I did this exact same routine for my high school's graduation party of 2008, it killed

  • Comment removed

  • i think you're overly sad carlin died cause he was obviously sick of being here. he got really bitter in his later years. and it made him MUCH FUNNIER

  • Wrestling is so stupid.

  • Does anyone else think that this george carlin character looks like tim robbins or something? love george carlin.... but prefer his social commentary stuff

  • @PaytonWestlake

I have always said when he was young he looked like Tim Allen. And at times, Andy Kaufman. Of course, that was in the early days.

  • Sorry, I don't watch videos that are disabled.

  • Sullivan's show had a very conservative crowd. You can tell from the scattered applause. Not big fans of edgy humour. Carlin said that he hated performing on Sullivan, because Ed had a habit of micromanaging things, which drew young comics nuts. Carlin later said that he wouldn't watch any of the tapings of his Sullivan performances, because they didn't bring back the happiest of memories.

  • Interesting. In the light of that, it's surprising that Sullivan booked Carlin at all.

  • No love between those two.

  • @lexo30

read his autobiography. He loved George because George was a New York Irish Catholic

  • @flyershockey17 Well, that would explain it. That darn Irish entertainment mafia... :)

  • @flyershockey17 Bullshit.

  • @ariandynas

    read Georges autobiography

  • @flyershockey17 who was an atheist, amazing.

  • @Beopenthinkfree

he grew up in a strict catholic household and attended a very religous school. He became an athiest later in life. your name is decieving be your actually a narrow minded fuckhead

  • @flyershockey17 I'm narrows minded because i stated he became an atheist and highly disliked religion?

  • @Beopenthinkfree

no, your narrow minded because you assumed he was an athiest his whole life and that my comment was wrong

  • @flyershockey17 you do realize I said "then he became an atheist"

  • @flyershockey17

He was an atheist ever since "the age or reason", which is 8. Give it a break.

  • @TheKenTerry

    read his book you shit

  • @flyershockey17

I have, look at all of his standup you shit? See, I can say that too. Shit shit shit...it doesn't make the arguement anymore valueble.

  • @TheKenTerry

well since your attacking my language rather than the issue I feel I won the arguement

  • @flyershockey17

Lame, nobody wins a youtube arguement. Also, I said look at his standup...I find that a sensible rebutle. Shit.

  • @chapaev36 Which is weird because it was Ed Sullivan who gave all the young rock stars a shot, even when the church and American society would call it the "Devil's music." It's not an individual thing. I think we all come to a point where we stop living. Morality is one thing, but at some point we get old. If someone isn't getting grey like us, we hate them.

  • @chapaev36 Edgy? This was tame by Carlin's or even today's standards. Nothing controversial here, unless you want it to be.

  • @surfer53 Edgy relative to the time of course. That weatherman was high on something, in case it didn't come off as obvious.

  • @chapaev36

But this clip does prove that Carlin didn't have to be crude to be funny. He wasn't relying on shock value to cover up a lack of talent.

  • lol Hey, man im ur hippie dippy weather man with all your hippie weather, man!

    "There it is man"lol

lol "man" after everything RIP GEORGE CARLIN LOVE YOU!
