i did the figures and found out that a holiday to europe is more costly than north america if you plan on renting a car. economy car rental in europe is more expensive than the high end rental vehicles in north america. you do make quite a saving with the exchange rate in north america. Europe is very expensive
I went to the summit by cable car with the best intensions of walking down but boy did i feel rough from the cable car ride. Just could not get my breath. Also at the bottom i had a half empty 2 litre plastic bottle of water in my sack and at the top the bottle had crushed in on itslef.
I did it with less than that so you should be good. My hardest issue was the pace that my guide set for me we passed a shitload of people and no one ever passed us. Going back down was a little tough on the legs/knees also.
35 liter should be enough. seriously. don't be as stupid as the rest, so don't carry tons of useless shit. I had a 35 liter bag and was perfect with that.
@ Sparkster, nothing's wrong with people commenting whether or not they've climbed it or will climb it. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't take advice serious from a site like YouTube, there are better websites online to inform yourself about mountaineering, safety first.
I was commenting to someone asking about equipment. You shouldn't ask an anonymous YouTuber about moutaineering equipment, well, you might to get a basic idea, but you shouldn't buy equipment based on only a YouTube comment.
Fair enough, I completely agree with that. I just felt that it's a bit harsh, if there are obviously people commenting who have climbed it asking is fair enough.
My Montblanc pen's say it's 4810 so im going with that :)

There is no cable car to the summit of Mt Blanc so don't let anyone suggest here that there is. !

This mountain was rated "Most Dangerous Mountain Climb", claiming nearly 70 lives last year alone.

65 litre is a lot, I went up with a 45 litre and that was adequate. Remember the more you've got, the harder it will be to get up there!

You plan on climbing Mont Blanc and you think the place to ask for instructions is YouTube?
HosteDenis 2 years ago
@HosteDenis Hey look, if people are commenting who have climbed it, what's wrong with that?

4807 is wrong. The correct altitude is 4810,9mt ,measured on 15th September of this year.

That's correct.
