This is beautiful! You have a truly beautiful voice. I do agree with some of the constructive criticism which has been given, such as better articulation of the text and to relax a bit, but on the whole, very enjoyable performance!
The spelling is "melisma". I realize the breathing is difficult in this song because of the long mElismas...but the body language is slightly nervous due to over-concentration on it. The singing is gorgeous, even though it is a bit heavy for the Baroque period music. :) Enjoyed your video.
I'm now in my second semester of studying voice. I was looking for videos of this song - as I am working on it now - and must say that this is your best performance yet!
Lovely voice! Be careful w fast songs. If you get nervous or over think the tempo, you'll start unnecessarily speeding up runs making them out of tempo. This can cause you to go flat or miss notes completely. I have sung this piece and it can be difficult. Rework breath placement on the runs, sometimes they're at odd places, which causes you to run out of air or it takes away from phrasing. Remember layer cake it. You're so young w/ such a beautiful sound. I would love to hear your voice 25.
I love this piece. You have a nice voice for it. I understood all your words. Pretend you are telling someone about Jubal and Miriam and make a few gestures to point out whom you are singing about; Otherwise hands look better at your side, but overall I thought you did a decent job on it. Listen to other cd's to get a flavor how others do it. HOpe this helps.
Disregard the unconstructive comments others have made. There is a lot of bitterness, competition and envy among many singers. Everyone has room for improvement. True we criticize eachother in order to learn better about our own voices... just ignore the rude judges.
You do well, I am amazed you are only 16. Good connection across your registers. With more solid breath support on the high notes, and thinking slightly above the pitch, you'll pull them off well.
can't tell what you're saying... a bit more pronunciation. to you, proper pronunciation might feel and sound too deliberate. I sing and I know what it's like. It's weird... you have to sing by feel... not just ear. Your voice is beautiful but your pronunciation sounds lazy. too much is of course ridiculous but with just a bit more your music would be stepped up a notch or 3
Fabulous! Careful to be prepared for the breath at the beginning of the phrase instead of right when you sing because at times it isn't that deep and you run out of breath. Also watch out for those descending notes not to go flat. Gorgeous color though! Keep it up!

Great performance in general, and terrific stage presence. Amazing for a 16 year old! I'd love to see a performance 5-10 years down the line.

a remarkable performance. Imagine when she's an "old" lady of 25, what she'll bring to the performance. Wonderful!

Actually, it was customary in the Baroque period for singers to sing more notes than were written on the page...and highly expected of sopranos.

I think this is too slow, and the first malisma was a little bit off. However, overall it was good.

Good job covering up your mistake on the last run. Wouldn't have noticed if I didn't know the piece.

Although I'm not a huge fan of your timbre, I am preparing this song currently and I know how difficult it is, so props to you!
