there's actually a few possible explanations for that.

1. maybe they just didn't want to change the lyrics because they thought it was such a great song. for example, alison krauss did a cover of "let your loss be your lesson" and the first line of the song is "once i had myself a good woman." they didn't change it.

2. it was just a dream. you can dream anything. he can dream about kissing another guy without actually wanting to. and even if he kissed a guy, that doesn't make him gay.

Amen. You gotta respect the original work. Check out Bowling For Soup's cover of London Brisge by Fergie. THey Changed some of the Lyrics to fit them (instead of Fergie Ferg, it's Jerry Jer) but they left other gender specific parts the same.

well they may be unoriginal on this song, but they didn't write it!!! they were probably asked to perfom this song by whoever asked them to be on the album. Listen to some of their own stuff and tell me their unoriginal. They are probably the craziest most original band in the world who's not afraid to be themselves or of what people think of them! I admire them for that and I love their music! And this is a pretty good version in my opinion.
