  • how many call's do rescues get? are they busy?

  • @51ENGINE51 all rescues are busy. sometimes rescues comes back home and ohh there goes another call. rescue gets the busiest because of they rescue people.. either a co call and fire call to alarm calls rescues would always be there when required.

  • Does always a rescue responds to CO calls with the FDNY?

  • depends where it is, there is only one per borough..im pretty sure the engine and ladder can handle CO calls themselves

  • So the rescue replaced the ladder because the rescue was closer to the box?

My knowledge about the FDNY stays a bit in Manhattan. I have no idea how the other boroughs work.

  • @Wouter112 the whole fdny works the same.. ladder company and rescue company do the same job of rescueing people.. who ever reaches there first must rush in to bring people out. rescue never replaces a ladder truck. they work like a team.

  • I know what the ladder and rescue co do but my question stays the same.. Does always a rescue respond to CO calls within the FDNY?

I bet they work like a team. Fighting the red devil can only been done by teamwork!

  • @Wouter112 if there is actually a carbon monoxide alarm rescue will respond. but depense if the battalion cheif finds any co.

  • my dad worked with engine 292 for a really long time.. i hope to work with you guys when im old enough.

  • fdny just ordered 20 new ferarra quints and 5-7 new ferrra rescues for 2010

  • y is rescue goin on a CO run

  • is that a joke? rescue apperatus have ems on them so if anyone was hurt or suffering from the CO then they could help the people.

  • is that a joke? so do Engines

  • i recieved the email saying you replied this to me, but i cant find my comment. could you remind me what your responding to?

  • They were responding to a CO call, whats a CO mean?

  • Carbon Dioxide CO is the abbreviation. Other wise know as a smells and bells call

  • Smells and bells call....interesting term. Thanks

  • CO is carbon MONOXIDE

  • A smells and bells call is not a CO call. A smells and bells refers to alarms going off in a house with odor of meat on the stove or other odors. CO is colorless and odorless.

  • CO is carbon MONOXIDE Carbon Dioxde is CO2

  • nice vid

  • that is crazy that fdny has over 292 pumps when some small towns have!

  • because the FDNY puts out more fire in an hour than most rural departments will in 20 years. And you sir have most likely never seen real fire duty. What a screaming dumb question

  • mytubebookflicker they run like that for easy in and geting out

  • Why Do all FDNY Rescue trucks roll with there rear doors open?
