@51ENGINE51 all rescues are busy. sometimes rescues comes back home and ohh there goes another call. rescue gets the busiest because of they rescue people.. either a co call and fire call to alarm calls rescues would always be there when required.
@Wouter112 the whole fdny works the same.. ladder company and rescue company do the same job of rescueing people.. who ever reaches there first must rush in to bring people out. rescue never replaces a ladder truck. they work like a team.
A smells and bells call is not a CO call. A smells and bells refers to alarms going off in a house with odor of meat on the stove or other odors. CO is colorless and odorless.
Terry Farrell was it? much respect!!! The terry farrell fund has so generously helped the training school I attend and countless departments. I recently bought one of the jim beam bottles in his name..very impressive. An honorable man!!! Respect to you and your family.

because the FDNY puts out more fire in an hour than most rural departments will in 20 years. And you sir have most likely never seen real fire duty. What a screaming dumb question
how many call's do rescues get? are they busy?

Does always a rescue responds to CO calls with the FDNY?
Wouter112 2 years ago
depends where it is, there is only one per borough..im pretty sure the engine and ladder can handle CO calls themselves
AroundSun 2 years ago
So the rescue replaced the ladder because the rescue was closer to the box?
My knowledge about the FDNY stays a bit in Manhattan. I have no idea how the other boroughs work.

I know what the ladder and rescue co do but my question stays the same.. Does always a rescue respond to CO calls within the FDNY?
I bet they work like a team. Fighting the red devil can only been done by teamwork!
Wouter112 1 year ago
@Wouter112 if there is actually a carbon monoxide alarm rescue will respond. but depense if the battalion cheif finds any co.
