Near Death Studios ceases operations.

Jan. 2010

Meridian 59 comes home to its original creators.

So finally the game is being updated more. Also gave it better lighting and antailizing.

Thank you M59. You made it all happen. And I have never seen PVP like this since. Never duplicated. If there was an easy mode I'd start Riija break out to Jala and enjoy the PVP world but as it is true... My friend commented he could never play a game that punishes newbies harder than M59. I have quit myself after being betrayed. Such an awesome game should never die off.

There were a few MMO-ish games before this one (like the original (2d DOS) Neverwinter nights), but yes, this game was really groundbreaking, and we can thank it for shaping modern MMOs into what it is today.

I remember Matrix, and the Judges. I used to run around as Yechezkel, I kind of faught both sides of that war... Was definately fun. I remember flashing my logoff ghost for hours until the people who logged me would eventually get tired and leave! Oh, to have no life, and that much time again :)
