Nice! Did you update the firmware to get full manual exposure control? This year (before June, supposedly) they will offer another firmware update offering 1080p recording at 24 frames per second for a more cinematic feel. In a week or two I will be getting a 7D and it comes with all that out of the box.
Yes, I updated it to latest FW and I really hope Canon will upgrade it to be able to shoot at 24fps. I've been doing well with it even though it can't do 24fps, but still would like that option with a full-frame camera.
Yeah the full frame is awesome, especially for photography and low-light video. It almost makes me want to get a 5D instead. By the way, what aperture setting was this video made in? 1.8 or around there, I am guessing? I can achieve similar results at 4.5 with a macro adapter attached. I am also able to use a Nikon 50mm lens via an adapter since it is full manual. Aperture goes down to 1.8 and it can do some really nice stuff. I wish I had more money so I could buy every lens possible.
Well, the rumor looks to be true - the 5D Mark II will be getting a FW update on March 17th to not only do 24fps, but add other features as well (manual audio metering/adjustment, etc). Very cool - and glad they are finally doing that. For my video settings, I used the Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 L USM which is ridiculously expensive but can't argue with the results.
Wow you must have been across the room with that thing! That is a very large aperture aperture. I have a Nikon lens that... wait I already said that. What other lenses do you have and/or recommend? We just got the Canon EFS 15-85mm IS USM lens. Anyway, you'll love 24p. Once I started using it 6 years ago I never went back. 30fps is cool, too. But 60i is unacceptable unless it is a news clip or the like, because that is what 60i footage looks like to me.
Er, why does the video only go up to 720p?

@Energyone the video was shot at 1080p (when I first got my 5D Mark II), but presented in 720p on YouTube.

@Pcenginefx Odd, there is lots of 1080p videos on Youtube. Maybe it was before it was added.

@Energyone Yep, it was.
