Valve released 4 half life games in a ROW. Half-Life, Half-Life 2 and all of the episodes. They also gave you Team Fortress 2, Counter Strike, Day of Defeat, Portal 1+2 and L4D1 + L4D2. @rkp102clipmaker Gabe Newell won't let Hollywood make a movie because Valve wants to do it themselves using their own storylines so they can't fuck it up. He said this in a TF2 blog post. He also explained that the new Meet The videos are experimenting in movie making and directing so they can see if a HL2 movie made by them would be successful.
