This must be a common issue in homes. I was at a seminar talking to a fellow inspector and he was telling me all about infrared and showed me pictures of an attic duct that also was not connected to a register, same as in your video. So I go and get my Thermologist certification and my second inspection using the camera I find the same thing. The infrared camera is amazing.

I knew that it was missing, i just didn't know where it was supposed to go until I used the infrared camera. I do see missing ducts every now and again. Kind of make syou wonder.
