The video of this song is just so.. I just can't explain it.
But actually I think it's about the girl with the blue hair, afraid of loosing her virginity.
Afraid of not being good enough, not pretty enough, and afraid to do something wrong.
Then she building up a wall of fair. A fair so strong that she is imaginging everything. That's why the ground of the pool is like a mirror at the end. She figure out that she's stron enough to handle it. It's all about self esteem.
@ParoxysmHD Lol, I did not copy anything here. This was my own opinioun about my video. You better check fact before you say that im a Copy Cat because I don't do it. Fail.
I understand the video, or at least i agree what the video is about which is great, but is that what the lyrics are about? i suck at interpreting lyrics >.<
Hell, in reality, anything can 'bring you here', so I don't get why people hate that things get popular via media. It's just as good as word of mouth.
I have to very strong reactions to the video. The first one is: WHAT THE F*CK! F*CK, SH*T, F*CK, SH*T! THAT'S SO F*CKING WRONG! WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DIE LIKE THAT!? AND WHAT WAS THAT THING IN THE END!? I NEED TO KNOW!
My second is: I'm glad someone finally did something like this. I'd be very satisfied to know that the video had no point besides being from the imagination and not being shot down because it was to grotesque. I wish my imagination could come through animation like this.
@SinisterAnimationS you know how the chick ate teh dude and they were stacked up on top of each other in the way she ate him? my guess is that thing is just all the victims now one autonomous collective of bodies
Absolutely enjoyed the video... the part at the end where the girl sees that enormous creature and her eyes/brain explode send chills up my spine everytime. very well done.

ATTENTION EVERYONE: im very new to electronic music such as this. i really like this song and i was wondering if any of you could tell me more songs similar to this?
Both the video and the song are priceless and awesome, in my opinion.
The video, to me is like something that came out of a HP Lovecraft series, mixed with the concept of growing from a teenager to adulthood, and face the changes that came with it.
But, nonetheless, everyone have their own opinions about it xD.
I see nothing wrong with the original clip, seriously.
For me the clip is really easy to understand, I don't know if it is either because I know Filosophy or because I play Call Of Cuthulhu alot and read HP Lovecraft too or if it is both of them altogether.
@kiltrofilms it's relating to adolescence. At least, imo. The girl is growing up. Goes to a pool, two people make out, engage in sexual intercourse. Have you ever seen two people have sex for real? It can look ugly and visceral, almost inhuman. The third guy probably got wrapped up in the threesome or something. The mirror world where her eyes exploded may have been the death of her innocence or something. The weird pool boner was her arousal. Elder God was manifestation of sex maybe.
@joemanses Pretty much right on, I believe. At least, as far as my knowledge of psychology and philosophy goes. The main girl in the video, to me at least, look like the youngest of everyone there. Secluded and isolated, at least in her own mind. She doesn't want to lose her innocence. She doesn't want to grow up and face adulthood and what better to bring out those feelings of rejection than by being around a bunch of primal teenagers, eh?
@joemanses How do you know that? I mean, didn't you read that anywhere? When I watched it for the first time it was just a bunch of wtf gore stuff, I couldn't see any meaning for it until I read your comment and watched it again.
@iaksba It's just interpreting symbolism. Hell, I could be totally wrong, but it's not very hard to find meaning in things if you're looking for it. That's the beauty of art. Often times there is no "right answer".
@DOGOFWAR777 Your comment would be fine if it didn't have "actually" in front of it. Yeah it's referencing Lovecraft, that's why I put "elder god" at the end of my explanation. How you would somehow think this negates the legitimacy of my interpretation, though, is beyond me. Perhaps if there were a rule that said once an artist references something in their work then they may no longer have independent symbolic meaning in it, you'd have a point.
@joemanses What happens to the girl in the pool seemed like fear of pregnancy/actually getting pregnant to me, reminded me of a baby kicking in the womb.
@Sadisticjellyfish73 I don't *think* that's the case, since within the pool we saw the girl 'die' implying some kind of symbolic death (if it is indeed symbolic), not creation of life. That could be one way of looking at it though. Interesting observation.
@joemanses Just replying to this one just because it's the first one I saw, although all your other comments are just as great. It's nice to see someone who has a great mind and understands how art is simply not just one thing, but can possibly be millions depending on interpretation. And as a side note, your interp is almost identical to what I thought the first time I saw the music video.
@rulerofthedtq I'll admit I had to watch it three times. First time for the 'wtf' factor. Second for the gorgeous art. Third for the 'deeper meaning', lol.
@joemanses hahaha well I'm an actor and within my community we see plenty of strange and beautiful things lol. It also helped me not get the "wtf factor" since I've been reading Lovecraft since I was rather young.
@loljustice31 Well first of all, at 2:27 (in that video) we get a rather explicit shot of the dude's butt, so there's really an equal butt to butt ratio between the guys and girls here. However, as to why the video accentuates the female's sexuality more: diversion and comparison. It presents you with something sensual in a fairly conventional manner to make you feel comfortable (thus amplifying the shock later on), and it's juxtaposing the one girl's promiscuity with the other's innocence.
@joemanses Just offering a bit of an alternate view. The first two "monsters" were her seeing sex for the first time. And the man who got mixed in? Not a threesome, but realizing that he too, wanted sex. When she tried to escape, the "other world" (At least, this is how I choose to view it, so what?) was her imagination, her happyplace. The massive Elder God looks EXACTLY like the tinier one in the pool. So... She realized her innocence had been corrupted, and broke down. Boom
@KingOfGone To me it really looks like the third guy got involved. Not sure how him realizing he wanted sex could be symbolically differentiated for actually getting involved in sex in this particular video. Especially when, in the girls eyes, he seemed to be physically involved with the other two. Perhaps you'd like to expound on that? As to the 'happy place' idea. I agree. I think the girl did realize she was corrupted, the elder god being a now present manifestation of sex in her mind.
@KingOfGone Also, when you say 'tinier one' are you talking about the girl giving the guy some sort of fucked up rim job looking thing? I do see a parallel there, but I'm not sure if that's what you're talking about.
@joemanses If you've ever read or seen some of the more bizarre Japanese manga you know that it more often than not doesn't have any kind of symbolism or meaning behind it, it's just crazy stuff happening for crazy stuffs sake.
@Joyfulcheese The phrase "Japanese manga" is a little redundant and is strictly referring to comics so you should have said "anime" in the context of the vid. Manga authors just as often insert subtext/meaning into their works as anyone else, even the more extreme (Gantz, Berserk, Ichi the killer, Shamo, DMWL etc.) Yes, there are the "Animal X"s, but this clearly has more thought put into it than mindless seinen shlock. Regardless, this was directed by a French guy so your point seems moot.
The actual video is so surreal, a great piece of art. I listen to this when I want a longer version of course. The actual music video is a bit lovecraftian, for those confused. It's meant to be open-ended so you never really know what's going on, but a few good theories are out there.
I actually really like the music video. I'm not going to go out and say "it's artistic and you don't understand it", but hey, whatever floats someones boat, I'll let it be. It's still a pretty cool music video. You wanna know why? Because very few people have attempted it. And its cool to know that when a music video is in animated, the cencorships boundaries are wider. @Pracaloid In my opinion the video was a bit more scary, and the peaceful music and melodies didn't really go with it. Other than that it's a really good song.
Finally, I can watch this song on youtube and not be afraid to watch the video too

I really like the video, but I love the full song more than I love the video.

The video clip had a bad ending.
But its less to be expected from the japan.
However the music is a masterpiece. No doubt about that

@haxbox7
The video and the song were made by french people, not japanese, eventhough you cant deny the tentacle rape aspect taken from Japan.

I know we should all enjoy the music, its just that I wish good luck to those who watch the music video itself.

@nunya2213
Why? I liked the music video very much.
Pracaloid 4 months ago
@Pracaloid In my opinion the video was a bit more scary, and the peaceful music and melodies didn't really go with it. Other than that it's a really good song.
nunya2213 3 months ago
@nunya2213
I think it's a technique... don't remember the name.
Yeah, I like the song.
For me the video fits the song. It adds certain feeling, like mystery, dunno how to explain myself :/

@Pracaloid Good point

For the video, the lyrics should be changed to:
Hentaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Fuckin' creeeeeeeepyyyyyyyyy
Hentaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Scar you mentallyyyyyyyyyy

I had to force myself to listen past 2:11 because that's when the F*ked up stuff started in the video and I was just "nonononono."
*deep breath* I'm okay. It's a good song.
...*shudders* I think I need to do this a few times for therapy or some crap. like srsly. *resists urge to hide under desk*
