Could you slightly underdrive the tubes so the filaments would last longer? I know they can have quite a long life, in excess of 10,000 hours.

@douro20 Yes - and I did. I think these guys were normally used with a red filter panel, but when used directly and indoors you can underdrive them quite a bit and still have them plenty bright enough.
