  • no sound ?

  • Wow a 93 year old movie just made me laugh more than a 93 minute old sitcom. Keep up the good work Hollywood.

  • If god could choose 1 guy to be immortal it shouldve been chaplin! I reli want to see him alive performing on stage.

  • Chaplin for ever

  • I am so in love with Charlie's eyes!!

  • Loved this...thank you for posting! Love you Charlie!

  • If I remember, this is Eric Campbell's final film appearance (3: 53 - 4:37) - he was killed in a car accident shortly thereafter.

  • Amazing man! So full of life and numerous creative ideas.

  • I'll have to admit, I'm extremely jealous of the girl he's doing make-up and hair for, LOL! What a gentleman. :)

  • you could have put in a little music for this video.

by the way, for all those that keep saying he's cute and handsome and stuff.... you are soooooooooo right

  • He had the most beautiful smile!

  • I love this time period's culture...

no sex jokes, no extreme violence, and no talking! And it's STILL so very funny!

Plus, people had manners and were very proper back then.... and talked with actual language; not slang. None of that "Yo bitch whatup with ya?" nonsense we have now...

    WHAT HAPPENED?!

  • Great!!!! He was so funny!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA.......He´s so funny!!!!! God bless you Chaplin....

  • Master Craftsman.

  • I love him so much. I wish I were alive when he was.

  • Amazing! So different seeing him without the moustache. And the golf scenes were hillarious!!!!! Chaplin actually looked strangely handsome in "real life". And just wild to see the transformation in all of his body language and everything when he dressed up as the tramp: then he really just became the tramp! Almost impossible to recognize the "real" chalie/charles. I know see how he could charm all those girls :p

  • I love that part with The Million Dollar Mustache!

This make-up changes him drastically! No matter how hard I try, but I can't notice his normal appearance under this mustache:) well, maybe only in Gold Rush, because his mustache are small there:) but he is so much in this image of the Tramp like they are two different people!

  • haaaaaaaa

what I would do to live 90 years ago. I feel like I'm destined to meet Doctor Who :c)

love you chaplin, may you rest in peace and laughter and happiness!

  • he aint dead, he is only 104!!!!!!

  • @levizer Actually he would be 121 now XDD

  • Thank you for this video.

  • thank you for adding that video:))

  • justo loooooove Charlie!!!! he's beutiful and brilliant!

  • ohhh!!!

Chaplin es tan tierno, lindo, ATRACTIVO!!! jiji, hermoso, maravilloso, ADORABLE!!!!!!!, INIGUALABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc...

Sr. Chaplin me he enamorado de usted!!!

  • sabes yo tambien pienso lo mismo!!!!!

  • Brilliant!! Bravo! I loved the ending how he blow kisses and then the final scene with his hat, shoes and cane. BRILLIANT. I enjoyed every second of this film. Thank you ever so for posting it. *blow kisses* AU REVOIR!

  • Spooky and yet fascinating!!! How the world continues to change!

  • making movies it,s been always fun and business. they still do have fun

  • They had so much fun making movies in those days. That's what everyone forgets. Today it's just a business and CGI takes away a lot of the charm and sweetness of films, and the actors have to perform before blue screens. Sad.

  • Not just that, but there was more class in comedies. None of the Superbad, Knocked Up, Sarah Marshall crap.

  • @ninjashaynaa

actually there WAS crap in comedies, that's why charlie got so famous, his comedy stood out over the stupid films they made back then

  • evrithin was fun those days

    kids shoot guns

kids go to school for 6 years

  • you're absolutely right. in the old days, they had to rely only on their performance, cuz they barely had any effects anyway. because everything was performance-oriented, it was more fun. it gets you out there more y'know.

  • Look at his tiny, meticulous fingers at work in her hair!

These days, with that sort of input in filming, he'd be called an over zealous, paranoid prima donna.

I say, these days, people couldn't sniff out a brilliant mind, not even with a bloodhound. Just because someone is given the job title 'make up artist' or 'director' doesn't necessarily mean one can't do the other.

His charm and wit are traits that just...aren't even genetic based. They're a blessing. <3

  • 0:20-23 Such a perfectionist! lol

  • I want to touch his curly hair! He looks adorable!

  • Really So Great Genius!! Thank you for uploading!!!

  • I agree with you TheLittleFelloow. I hate the way some boys are dressed nowdays. Charlie Chaplin was a wonderful, talented, carming...and handsome actor and man. They don't do the same types of movies they did then, it's a shame. In some movies of today it feels like they are not putting so much love in to it. I think that Charlie Chaplin was great with and without voise.

  • i was surprised that he even did the girls make-up! i bet nothing got passed without some sort of involment on chaplin's part. no wonder he got totally lost in his art, think about the amount of work in every piece! incredible man nevertheless, beauty and brain in one package :)

  • WHERE CAN I GET THIS VIDEO?!

  • in 0:42-1:02 charlie looked like he was flirting with that girl...charlie such a pimp...love him to bits

  • He's soooo cute! oh! :D

I wish men nowadays could dress up like they did before. With a hat and a dress everyday. I think Charlie's clothing is so much more elegant than that "Hiphop- yo what's up homie-gangster" stile which are today! XD

  • Yep, you're right. And I love the shoes he wore! I'd love to have a pair of those!

  • I agree, I would have loved to live back in these times, everything seems so much more elegant and the men were so much more charming and respectable. I would have loved all the hats and dresses I would have gotten to wear each day too!

  • @TheLittleFelloow the reason you feel this way is because we are old i am sure the people your age of his day complained about his dress the music and everything else his generation was doing , in fact few years later he was accused of many things and forced out of country as a commie. seems like for most this will never end. seems very few of a former generation understand, just sayin not judging im old too

  • I love his tongue in cheek humour, so ahead of his time. What a genius.

  • Charlie was so handsome!

  • the footage with eric campbell is a shock. chaplin refers to having shot a golf routine with him but who ever thought that they'd see it?... the fact that he had died by this time makes the inclusion of it here a bit strange (although it's clearly to be a mutual out-take).

  • Priceless!!

  • I've been looking for the whole thing for 19 years! Thank you!

  • Priceless film. This lay undedited and unseen in Chaplin's archives until historians Kevin Brownlow and David Gill cut it together and added the titles in 1983.

  • YOU HAVE IT!!! I have been looking for this chaplin skit with the golf ball...the second one where the guy doesnt hit the ball...this is awesome saw it once years ago in a documentery and have been looking for it ever since..fantastic thank you..

  • Wow! You're welcome! :D

  • luved it ! really cool !

  • aw the girl is so pretty.

  • Exelent!!!!

I love Charlie Chaplin and his world...

  • Really funny, and very cool to see Chaplin in that way, like normal stuff :D
