I'm not sure at what age Donny's voice changed, but I've seen other clips of child singers who have to lip-sync to their own records after their voice changes and it looks weird having a childs voice coming from a older teens body. After a boys voice changes they should make a newer recording in a lower key just for those occasions.

He is lipsyncing to his record during this performance, as they did for many when there wasn't a band to back them up. Nothing wrong with that though. They came to see Donny's face. His singing was simply icing on the cake.

Yeah, his voice started changing at the height of his career too. he was 13-14 when he recorded this and by 15/16 his voice was cracking, but we loved him anyhow. now his voice is fabulous!!!
