  • oooh yeah.....exploding energy with this great song!!!!

  • reminds me of david bowie, but worse.

  • reeves is a 6 string assassin!! NO PRISONERS.

  • This is alt/prog metal at its best.

But I couldn't imagine seeing Bowie w/a beard.

  • great.

  • "This the West, get used to it.." Sweden, 20th September 2010...

  • "you're dead, you just aint buried yet" said that to myself in jail last month.

  • Reeves Gabrels is the best guitar player that ever worked with Bowie.

  • it's cool to hear bowie as a hard rock frontman but the music just isn't very good.

  • genius......tribute bowie...ciao

  • One question: where is their security to keep all these muppets from invading the stage? Or did Tin Machine let this happen deliberately?

  • @RamBam3000

    Captain Obvious to the rescue!

  • @svandamme76

    Dan-dan-daaaah!

  • Saw this video and run out to get the record. It's great! It's Bowie's way out to fucking 80es music!

  • great song .....ciao ricky the voice

  • The first part of this song was based on an incident in Portland, Oregon, in which skinheads murdered an African immigrant.

  • love it mr Bowie!!

  • I only really like the 'bridge' part at 1:53 like the wah wah guitar. Thats it!

  • I love bowie...but I have to admit that this project is not one of my fav.

  • Thanks for Posting, Memories.... man man man

  • Man im old!

  • I'm a huge Bowie fan and have never seen this video before. Thank you!

  • Bowie caught in the mosh....Amazing.

  • hunt & tony' dad, detroit legend, soupy sales "went home" last month. * RIP *. as 4 tin machine, i wore this cassette & cd out!!

  • i looooooove this song!!

  • tin machine are:

    guitar / vocals: david bowie

    lead guitar: reeves gabrels

    drums / vocals: hunt sales

    bass / vocals: tony sales

  • great song! I was lucky enough to get a ticket too watch Tin Machine at Cambridge corn exchange in 89 I think, absolutely brilliant gig in such a small venue and Bowie was as ever the quintessential showman!!

  • great song great album.

  • fantastic guitar work, would have loved to have seen them live

  • check out The Hulk at 3:56! lawl

  • that's harley from the cro mags.

  • @hellstomper88 Yep, Harley was funny that day. ..he even got Bowie to announce a CroMags show for him...good times! I miss the secret video tapings in the 80's, it was great!

  • I guess with tin machine, Bowie had a heavy rock itch to scratch! dig that crazy axe man!

  • no not a heavy jock itch to scratch

  • EVERYTIME i hear this BADASS tune, i yell: "you're dead,ya just aint burried yet". as a drummer its my pleasure/DUTY to hate guitar playin/spot light hoggin/VOLUMEDOGS!!!!! but, i say but, REEVES!?!? WOW, gotta tip my(many)hats. 10 steps into the crazycrazy. HEAVENS IN HERE.???? solo from hell at the end!!!!1st time i heard it my jaw dropped. would LOVE to have the F.U., I LOVE TIN MACHINE t-shirt. thanxxx 4 posting for sure.

  • You got it... Great Idea... Design a shirt that they are... Like some Fkd up Tin man from Wizard of Oz Teeth, claws.. etc. Get Bowie to do it all again..They were really Fkn good....

  • You know what? I know what an institution he is and respect Bowie as a major Rock Icon, but he has never been my cup of tea, BUT I love him and like him A LOT with Tin Machine.

  • Reeves Gabrels is awesome, and Bowie, well, do I really have to say the words? Fucking Awesome!

  • I haven't seen this video for over 17 years. Thank U for uploading it.

  • I was lucky enough to see Tin Machine at The Sting in New Britain and they nearly blew the roof off the place. In retrospect, Bowie's involvement is kind of macabre, but he obviously felt a need to express himself with a harder sound at that time. For a short-lived project they made quite the mark. This video is tribute to the "tear'em up" musical stylings of the group. Good stuff!

  • Well said Thomasblais

  • great vid for this song

  • I saw Tin Machine at the Tower Theater in Philly in November of 91. They rocked the house! I remember Reeves tossed a chrome dildo into the crowd and let audience members hold the thing up to his guitar strings while he held the various chords. The vibrations on the strings made the coolest sounds! Bowie was shirtless through most of the show. He also got rather nasty with Tony at one point for missing his cue. The T-shirts they were selling said in HUGE PRINT, "FUCK YOU, I LOVE TIN MACHINE!"

  • Nice. I thoroughly enjoyed your story.

  • happy birthday, david

  • "...but now the savage days are here."

    Especially now, well said db.

  • Great video, I have been looking for it for a long time now and it was 2 of Soupy Sales sons, Tony Sales -- Bass guitar, vocals

Hunt Sales -- Drums, percussion, vocals .

  • Thanks for posting this vid..been looking for it forever!

  • This Band was a freak of nature. Nothing Bowie ever did sounded anything like this. Hell, he had Soupy Sales son playing guitar (or bass?) with him. This band was hard.

  • I think Tin Machine kind of goes back to Bowie's punkier Berlin/Scary Monsters times, but it does have a harder edge.

  • Alot of people didn't like Bowie and Tin Machine but they rocked and hard. This is damn good music.Ziggy be damned here.A number of Bowie "classics" came out of this era in his career IMHO. I can't read,This jewel here, video crime...yes Tin Machine shorted lived but not forgotten in the long run....

  • @TVC17 Saw them on tour and they were AWESOME. I think some of Bowie's Best work. Went back to RAW music!!!!

  • @TVC17 WITH YOU!

  • Always loved the song, but never really paid attention to the lyrics....awesome words, powerful. Bowie is great.

  • Hmm. I thought this was the video where Bowie played a headless guitar (very trendy in the early 80's), but it isn't. Anyone know what video I am talking about?

  • pretty sure its Day In Day Out

  • Yeah It Is

  • GREAT F***ING SONG!!!

  • Best fucking Bowie song EVER.... really puts Bigotry and Hate out in the forefront. "This is the west, get used to it, they put a Swasitka over the Door" and "You're dead, you just ain't burried yet!" ^_^

  • the most underated David Bowie project ever. These fuckers have about 7 kick ass songs including this classic....

  • totally agree with you. Im a huge Bowie fan too and i enjoy Tin Machine as well

  • Bowie once again never again afraid of taking a chance..

  • The Tin Machine Fucking Rules!!!!!!

  • this project was somewhat written off by critics and some fans at the time, which is amazing because it was Bowie finding his muse once again after about 7 yrs making streamlined records that were becoming less and less successful. It was Reeves Gabrels who brought him back to where he needed to be. in fact, this is the hardest he's ever rocked in his entire career.

  • uur right but bowies always good

  • Sounds like you only caught one channel of sound.

  • Love Bowie!

  • On that note, he's not afraid to step outside of the "box". Look at the variety of styles throughout his career. He doesn't chase styles or fads trying to keep up, he's far ahead of the crowd, setting standards to be reached by ordinary acts.

  • One of David Bowie's more interesting moments.

  • was this a mark romanek video?

  • Julian Temple. They filmed the whole record. I was there the second day of shooting. It is the Old Ritz in NYC right after it closed.
