It looks cool. But I'm just using Blackberry Curve 8520 since this April. And I don't know that ;what will my dad think about that phone.Should I prefer that phone or IPhone?
damn this really sucks verizon always get inferior phones while at&t get all the rocker phones like samsung s2 and moto atrix. Maybe in 3 years we'll get that over to verizon (which gonna be obsolete like iphone)
@dodgesityballer It's in the upper right-hand corner, just above the screen. In the reviews that you have read, they probably overlooked it as it's a bit hard to see.
@ChristewieTV DAMMIT, I really like HTC phones but the ones I like are not available for T-Mobile. I mean the mytouch 4g is nice and feels great but there is something about it that doesn't sit well with me, I can't put my finger on what it is though
@ChristewieTV well the hd2 has the old windows without the tiles and you can put Android, windows 95 and 98, Ubuntu and windows phone 7 onto it. It is a vary versatile phone and still competitive in today market
@techartgt3 the HD2 is ancient, besides, I don't want to kick myself in a few moths. I'll wait for the supposed HTC "Pyramid" It's supposed to be out some time in june. Question, is Verizon's 4G LTE a combination of CDMA and GSM and will the Incredible S be a 4G LTE phone?
@techartgt3 Sorry to be such a bother but with the recent news of the AT&T and T-Mobile USA buyout, I am reconsidering this phone, do you know if it is a global phone?
i like this phone but i hope that they have put 16g of memory in it, DNLA a better battery and more ram at least 1g cause if not i will keep my droid incredible and wait for somthing else.
@mshiva1373 The Incredible S also has a better call quality due to the second microphone (noise cancellation) and there are no issues with the build quality (unlike the Desire HD).
There are some stories about a possible death-grip on the Incredible S, but it's not known if that's a prototype/review issue or not.
Like what Fourmarduk666 mentioned, the Incredible S has a lower standby-time, which is odd considering the bigger battery capacity (1450 mAh compared to 1230 mAh).
HTC is doing inovations in software (HTC Sense, HTC sense.com, Calibration, G sensor and some others). What the f... do you need dual core in phone ? The speed of your android will not improve, you will just be able to open 20 applications in one time. HTC has done so much from their first android phone in 2007 and I am certan they haven't said all. Thumbs up HTC !
What are you talking about.? Optimus 3d can record 1080p. And the difference between 1500 and 1650mah battery is not noticeable. 3d technology is growing bigger and bigger so expect more 3d content for optimus 3d
@mackiebuena yes but how good is sense in the end when the hardware on HTC devices when the other manu factors make a newer. faster and better hardware and when you have a phone without sense you won't miss it I don't care about sense on my Galaxy S sense cannot be HTC's big rescue forever if they don't do something with their phones then they turn like Apple have alot of fans and nothing new to offer or show and there is nothing new about sense from Desire HD to now looks exact the same.
HTC has led the smartphone race in hardware, design and software (unless you are an Apple patron), and now they are falling behind Samsung, LG, Moto, and even blackberry with this new line of underwhelming devices.
Disappointed with HTC, thought we was going to hear about the Desire 2 etc, hopefully something good will be out when my contract runs out in November.
htc had their year in 2010...this shit (s) is going back to stone age especially considering this is htc's flagship model....i'll sell my htc desire and get the only phone that needs to be bought in 2011 and thats the Samsung GALAXY S2!!!
@hmwillow LG optimus is good for 3d only (obviously) but that will wear out real quick...and what your left with is no WI-FI direct....a 1500 battery compared to 1650 for S2, 720p video recording, and no super AMOLED plus screen and its 4.3 inch screen with a chunky body compared to S2'S wolrds slimmest body
@succeed06 Optimus can record 1080p also. And comon. I'll trade in AMOLED for a 3D screen any day. And ability to take 3D photos and 3D videos in 720p!! It pwns all the phones out there atm. and the difference between 1500 and 1650 isn't that big of a difference.
If Apple were to drop its restrictions, it would rule the world. Unfortunately, that's not the case, allowing other companies to survive. With Android, one would have to wait until its phone manufacturer work on every Google upgrade before releasing it to their customers. With Apple, there's no such thing. Besides, with Apple slick design, one cannot use the iphone as a weapon as it not as heavy and bulky like the others.
@Lobato1987 current dual cores for mobile phones dont have alot of performance increase, since the cores only run at 550MHz, HTC is waiting for qualcomm to release their dualcores, wich will be alot faster than current singecores at 1GHz
@Lobato1987 Wait for the HTC Pyramid! 1.2Ghz Dual core monster... hopefully coming q4 this year (2011). However, Quallcom has confirmed that they will be releasing Quad core in 2012... is HTC falling behind? I don't think so... what are your thoughts forum?
@RobinRichardRajan Good question! When I wrote my comment, I didn't know the3 3D was coming. Personally, I don't give a sh*t for 3D with or without glasses, so I'm not excited. Seems like a great way to chew up valuable processing and battery power that could be spend on doing things more entertaining and more useful.
@harpersneil Yeah, I second that! What is the use of a 3D phone if we cannot view those 3D photos anywhere else except on the phone itself! All we need is a phone with the same config of the Evo 3D but without that 3D option (and instead of that dual 5MP camera, they could put a 12MP camera with 1080p video capture)!
@RobinRichardRajan Now you're talking!!! :) Have you checked out some of the video footage shot by the N8? Having a camera like that attached to an Android phone with Sense UI 2.1 would be epic!!!
Since we're discussing ways of improving phones, can HTC PLEASE bring back the dedicated camera button? They're currently only mandated on Windows Phone 7, but I'd love to see them back on Android; they make so much sense.
@harpersneil Nowadays, most phone manufacturers are keen on giving their phones as less physical buttons as possible! Even the home, menu, back and search buttons are touch based. And yes, I love to have a dedicated camera button. It is awkward to move my finger to tap on the shutter button and spoil my shot by shaking the phone in the process. And why does no Android phone in the market have a camera sensor more than 8MP while symbian, the outdated OS, rocks happily with a 12MP shooter! :(
@RobinRichardRajan I agree that a physical camera button would be nice, but the whole megapixel thing is only a consumer fad and means nothing regarding the actual picture quality. Megapixels are only needed to blow stuff up larger. They really don't matter for 99% of the users out there. Id rather have a kickass 5 megapixel camera instead of a crappy 12 megapixel camera. PLUS, the more pixels your jam in on a small sensor, the worse off the camera is in low light.
@Evanpatricksmith Yeah but you very well know that HTC's camera quality is not upto the mark! All the reviewers say that the camera could have been better! And the 720p video recording is crappy it seems! Hope HTC fixes that with a software update (if it is a software bug that is)!

@mshiva1373 incredible s is better in:
- second camera.
- can play more audio and video things. like .AAC and .OGG
- is lighter than the HD
- turning lights.
HD is better in :
- size, 4.3" to the 4" of the incredible s
- standby time. HD has 420 hours. Incredible s "only" 290.
