I have windows vista ultimate and in WordPad it doesnt work with CTRL + DELETE so i think this is only for mac.

In windows:
1) Hold shift and press left arrow to highlight one letter at a time.
2) Hold Ctrl and press left arrow to move curser to the first letter of last word.
3) Hold shift and Ctrl then press left arrow to highlight last word.
