Please remember something. The caste system came as a part of the society, as a system of class division. It is not part of Hinduism. Please remember something. The caste system came as a part of the society, as a system of class division. It is not part of Hinduism. There is no indication in the Vedas that the caste system is a part of Hindu religion. It is a form of discrimination that has screwed up the societal infrastructure of Indian society.

Yes, Tarang, I'm very much aware of this. In the epics and classics, they have illustrated how classes have been divided. However, those teachings do not encourage or promote discrimination. Rama took water from a tribal woman, Shabari. Krishna and Sudama became best friends despite their background. Eklavya demonstrated piety and respect towards Dronacharya, and Dronacharya cruelly took advantage of him. Thanks for your thoughts and comments. I feel for many of these innocent people.

I do notice that Dalits are indeed dark-skinned and I think that is the major factor they are so discriminated against although would use the caste system or religion as fabrication. This is not the only time when a related group of people within one country have discriminated against each other. In America, particularly in Washington in the late 19th-early 20th Century where Blacks had more opportunities discriminated against each other based on skin color.
