@KHAIROSS - to get good color out of henna, you should keep it moist. Any natural oil like eucalyptus, baby oil or mustard oils are generally used but mix of lemon juice and sugar also works fine.

The henna paste (shown in most pictures) comes off in few hours or when you take shower but it leaves dark maroon stain in your skin which stays for 4 to 5 days.
