  • lol i did this in my high school in front of a crap load of people

  • nice! i play it on guitar. wish i could find the Met Life music from when Snoopy was the spokesdog; a very poignant Vince piece.

  • Not the "Charlie Brown Theme" as that is actually a different tune. This is "Linus and Lucy" and is often confused with being the theme song. It's not. This is the best known one, though.

  • Wow! How old are you? This is really good piano.

  • Linus and Lucy is the one song above all others I want to learn. Brings back a lot of great memories from my childhood Christmas'.

  • Tell that douche to stop walking in front of the camera.

    Nice playing.

  • you suck!

  • Nice playing!

  • im not sure what to say.

you should probably make sure you have the piece down before you try to throw some improve in there.

go ahead, give me a thumbs down!

  • Mishmash of "Linus and Lucy" and "Cast your fate to the Wind," and ....I have no clue. Learn it by the music!

  • Interesting! Thanks for the info. I never knew about the song "Cast your fate to the Wind". I just listened to it now on YouTube. Oh how I love Vince Guaraldi.

The 1,4,5 progression I inserted is a common jazz progression. Louie Louie, Batman, Beachboys, etc a lot of music uses that 1,4,5 progression. Look like Vince Guaraldi and I were on the same page. It was stunning to hear my original invention on part of "Cast your fate to the Wind". Thanks for the info.

  • Just want you to know. This is one of the most joyous videos in my playlists. I play you all the time, playing chess, book reviewing, everything. ---

  • Thanx :)

  • i remember this song from when i was a little kid it brings back some good memories

  • This is actually Linus and Lucy. This isn't The Charlie Brown Song...

  • Everybody calls it the Charlie Brown song!!

  • so cool :)

  • Very nice!

  • I like it! I really like the visual of the reflection of your hand on the piano....and the sound and sight of the hand-slap. Thank you for sharing your talent!

  • dats crazzii da beginning was hott

matter of fact da whole thin was hott

u added ya own tyle i like dat :)

  • Wonderful! Wonderful! Well done!

  • merry christmas all you major dudes you!

  • coool man. Iwanna do that too!

  • Norman Baits plays Charlie Brown.

  • Nice playing and style. However, I have to point out that the beat is completely wrong. Both the left hand ostinato and the right hand melody should anticipate the beat (i.e. should begin on the "and" of 4).

  • way kewl intro

  • Thanx! Love your upside-down playing. LOL. OK...so you took the "advanced course."

  • It takes a lot of courage to improvise and innovate. This is a distinctive voice, and well articulated. -Bruce Bain

  • Check the left hand vamp, it sounds off in some spots.

  • Thanks man that was awesome!

  • Thank you.

  • sweet, im learning it a little differently tho

  • Nicely done!

  • amazing i wish i could do it like u

  • you f***in killed that man. couldn't have been done better. i can't believe people are telling you how to correct it. they must be use to the polished radio sound

  • Good effort, i aways wanted to learn how to play the piano.

  • GREAT! But do check the rhythms at 37 compared to the original. Just a suggestion. Otherwise you do great! Glad to see you enjoy yourself while playing this song. keep it up!

  • sound quality kinda bad, but it was a nice song!(^^)

  • nice intro.

  • that was sick

  • that was crazy

  • Wow, awsome job...keep up the good work!

  • not exactly as what the actual music is, but darn you! you're one good listener, and a good jazz pianist as well, i'm a vince guaraldi fan!!

  • how do you play the song without the music sheet

  • Ear training. My jazz piano teacher ,Dick Powell (not the actor) trained my ears to recognized different types of chords by their sound. Form the habit for playing all types of chords. Get the "feel" for them all. That's how I was able to lift it off my friend'd vinyl record. Jazz is all about feeling. The minute you think about it, it's all over.

  • I learned this one by ear too!

I do a pretty good job up to the part where the style changes but I never got around to learning past that part.

  • The song is called "LINUS and LUCY"

    Nice!

  • Thanks! I didn't know that. I never saw the music. I copied the playing, (except for my own touch thrown in), off of a friend's record a long time ago. Hummm....would be interesting to read Vince Gauraldi's actual score for this catchy piece.

  • You can find the score on sale!! Good luck!
