  • There are videos of similar buses starting, as far as Winter - when I get snow she gets plowed in for the season.

  • i know the egine is an international

  • hiw much u pay for it by the ay i love it!

  • $4000

  • If you take all the seats out, can you drive a school bus with just a regular driver's license? I've always wanted a school bus but don't have a CDL yet.

  • Each state may have different laws, but in CA the vehicle needs to be classified an RV to drive with a standard license. I took the seats out before driving home from Texas and had a dealer supplied plate and insurance to be legal as possible at that time.

  • Nice sounding bus.

  • Listen to that diesel purr :-D

  • Gotta love the Thomas buses!

  • lol what top speed does it have

  • The transmission governor holds her at 65 mph, untill I customize:)

  • dude look at the giant speedometer!

  • how many gallons it go through to go from TX to CA

  • The tank holds 65 gallons, I drove 1400 miles, averaged just under 10 mpg, used about 155 gallons at an average of $3.00 each - $465.

  • How much did you get her for? She looks to be in pretty good shape.

  • I paid $4000 and spent $600 getting her home 1400 miles.

  • Wow, that's not bad for a bus in this condition!

Oh man, I am gonna do it! You've got me started now. LOL. I've got a few grand saved up. I'm gonna beef that up a bit, and get me a skoolie!

  • Contact 101 BUS SALES near San Antonio TX for A good selection and accomodation. The owner picked me up at the Airport and gave me a place to sleep the first night, al-around awesome service.

  • Awesome! Thanks for the info! :)

  • do they have any vintige bus' there (50's, 60's, maybee 70's)? If i were to buy a bus, i want something with some style, not such a brick going down the road. Ya know?

  • They do once and a while have an older one, you would have to inquire.

  • I don't know, but i think in Oregon. I have to have a special license to drive one. On account of the air brakes.

  • If so, many buses are equiped with standard hydraulic brakes.

  • True, true. And yes, i asked my Dad today (who is a truck driver) he said i have to atend a class, and get certified for air brakes. I'm still going to look into it though.

  • What state do you live in? I gues it depends on the state you live in as to whether you need a special license. Usually you don't need a special license if you're driving a motorhome. check it out for yourself.

  • DT 466?

  • I am just now revamping the cooling system and dicovered she has a 5.9 ltr

  • are you going to convert the bus into a motor home?

  • I have already done enough to qualify as a motorhome and still have much more planned. check out the second video to see what was done as of 3 months ago. I may do an update video soon.

  • my realative has a new 07 flat school bus that has flat headlights

  • love it

  • So is this basicaly what you use to get around???

  • Check out the machines on my channel for that answer:) VM

  • O ok Cool Yeah im learning Thank you

  • Air brakes require letting air pressure build up prior to driving and incorporate a parking brake that you can see me disengage in this video. Aside from more thought into their use and maintainence, they resist heat build-up better and give you an on-board air compressor system. VM

  • Hey my freind your Bought a good Machine there we have a 1993 International i love Driveing that over the 1995 Thomas we also have at our church there both hydrolic Braks thoes How do u work the air brakes is it any diffrent ?

  • Anyone with the gumption to convert a school bus is alright with me and I hope my KOOl BUS inspires others, but be sure to incorporate your own style also, that's half the fun:) VM

  • I am going to copy your bus and make my GMC bus into a KOOL bus too!

    If you don't mind

  • WOW nice vid man, love your bus. International Thomas are between the best school buses!

  • I always wanted and still want to get a bus for a daily driver. Awesome ride! Some day lol.

  • I am working gung-ho on her now, new interior video about 3 months from the first. VM

  • Nice bus! I hope to have one similar to that one at some point. Is that a DT466 or a DT360?

  • She has a DT408. I waited over twenty years to get one of these, I recommend "Buses 101" near San Antonio TX, If your willing to drive one home. Large inventory, price range and great to deal with. VM
