Really unrealistic tactics...both sides would have started a series of maneuvers at around 200 yards to form a line . Then as the line sailed past ships would break off the rush the opponents and break up the enemies line...they wouldn't just sail straight at each other.

@xboxpirates2000 I used Fraps for the recording ;)

In order to modify the voices I simply just extracted the game files and added the voices on the video. In fact the raw video was shot entirely without sound, as I was recording in slowmo to double my framerate. So all sounds you hear has been manually put back on by me.

I had a friend helping me, the AI would never be able to use the formations in the vid.

This is an amazing video. Top notch editing by-the-way, I have the game myself, but play with a really, really crappy video card, and all the graphics are turned down.

Is there really that much voice-acting in the game? ("All hands on deck!" "Battle stations!" etc.) Or did you add all of that? Because I never hear any of those lines while playing the game.

So then, where did you get the other voice-acting? What I heard was very fitting, especially the Spanish dialog, which was the most convincing to me. (I don't know alot of Spanish, but I know "Disparen!" means "Fire!")

@707MerK Well, actually the voice acting is from the game itself. I've been messing with the game files and found the voices. Funny they just don't get used ingame, seems like a waste of hdd space. Most likely another CA bug, they planned to use the voices but couldn't make 'em work properly and then just disabled them, i believe.

I can only say that I am proud of the men who fought under the red-and-yellow flag. The Spanish Navy managed to defend the overseas empire and the treasure fleet throughout the 1700s quite well, which was its main objective, with relatively limited resources. By 1805 we were pretty much a French puppet anyway.
