Okay reading the comment I made earlie,r I actually sound a bit harsh. But the point still stands. Think LOGICALLY, be wary of anything from Nigeria. I really don't mean to be xenophobic, it's actually very sad to say but most 419 scams come from Nigeria.
He was in >>Nigeria<< you see, straight away this should have been a red flag. Then she says "somethings gotta be wrong, why doesn't he have someone doing this like an accountant" EXACTLY!! Pitty she sent the money before her brain started thinking logically.
Fake user profiles should be exposed! For example, the user "Jollily" on OkCupid who recently (up until a few days ago) used a fake photograph of an attractive woman in order to lure innocent and trusting men to her. I was one of her victims. she is still active on this site, and still won't use her own photo!! Ladies and gents - watch out for charlatans. They lurk everywhere. ID verification should be standard across the board.
As interesting as this is, it is far from representative; the vast majority of victims are men and it would be a better video if the video was about a man.
Anytime love is involved, and all of a sudden money becomes involved, take a step back and reevaluate the situation. I have done this for years and its saved me a lot of money. The money can be replaced, but the damage to your heart can't.
They've been targeting Asian women for a while, not Asian guys. They nail some Thai and Indonesian women, but not that many. Those women don't have much money and few are online.
These fucking rats do a good job with your heart, when you have a love online all is ok, but when they start asking for money to you is a scam.. no doubt..... dont send money, I was almost scammed but i never send money and that was the end of strange love... she said all time dont let me down.. you will be my husband and others shit... really my heart was broken but my money saved, now i prefer flesh and blood girls.... lol
There are agencies in South Africa that can be contacted, also bringing heat on the dating websites to confirm security on someone who has opened an account would not be that hard .
Communities have used public opinion to change drinking and driving laws in the USA and all it took was one or two very angry women. they did it by organizing....power to the people with one cause is much stronger than a bunch of individuals complaining into the black hole of the internet.
No I am not another scammer, if you experienced this type of emotional pain, you would understand how it devastates your trust in humanity. Money is not the only thing these scammers get...they get your trust and love then leave you in the dust to cope with the destruction of all you ever believed in.
i understand that but i'm saying there's really nothing that anyone can do to some scammer in nigeria besides shutting down their account on the datesite
wat wld u do if someone u luv suddenly told u dat they r in deep shit & I dont see anything wrong helping the 1 u luv? This nigerians r good in acting. They are so good that they can make u unable 2 guess that they r scammers & u''re actually is their next victim! I was scammed before. Lost my $..emotional feelings..devastated. I''m so afraid of getting 2 know any1 online now. Can you believe that there are 90,000 over nigerian scammers out there & now they are targetting asians!
This comment is for the person in the video, I too was scammed on in online dating scam and 350 dollars were stolen. I am afraid of telling my story because I am afraid of being prosecuted by the police, because I too sent counterfait checks in the mail but I did not know about this until my father sat with me and explained this to me.
~final~ what happens today in life, but what i can do to make my next relationship better and this does not happen again. also let your friend know that he/she is wanted. let your friend vent to you and trust me...in time everything will be much better. this is a three part messege. the first messege starts with, "i'm terribly. the second is "so when you" and this is the last. stay strong and keep your friend's focus. wish that youtube would allow longer writting.
Thanks for the advise. My friend learned another lesson in the game of LIFE! She's only 55yrs old & has been married 4 times. I'm trying to sympathize with her, but it is very difficult. As she asked for my advise, did not take it, and then lied about sending money. I didn't find out until she called from LAX, after waiting 3 hrs for this scammer, crying and hysterical. Time will heal my anger & my friends financial loss. People should be more aware of how serious these scams have become.
so when you ask the question of, "is the other person ready," you must look everything through from their past relationships, how they grew up, family members, if they'd been in trouble with the law, to their personal hygeine. it's a way of seing what's lies ahead between the both of you. i've also been down the depression road and for that all i can say is.....be strong cause life is full of surprises. they'll be another whom will take his/her heart away in time and don't be fooled about #2cont
i'm terribly sorry to hear about your friend. i've been hurt too in relationships. i've learned that sometimes you have to ask yourself, "is the other person ready?" don't ask yourself if you are ready cause you would already know the answere. to my understanding.....relationships should not have anything to do with money. especially if it's someone online, until you know for sure about the other person. that means seeing them in person to see if they are who they say they are.~to be continued~

Do these online scammers care about the people they hurt?
JReed1985 9 months ago
maybe you should have asked the bank before you mailed them out? enough blaming your sister already.
i hate internet romance scam just as much as the next guy, but what did you do to make up for helping your Nigerian lover?
Commonsense11111 11 months ago
You have to use common sense because you can get scam online as well as offline. Never give money to someone who you never met.
