MTV ate itself. As Frank said "there used to be radio stations and anyone could get their music played and make money but theres only one MTV" When digital media came along and anyone could get their music played on the web, the industry went totally commercial. MTV is a 24/7 commercial for MTV that also sells a variety of high profit disposable products mostly aimed at the vanity market. Products that are toxic, addictive and instantly go down the drain or in the trash are their specialty.

He died from prostate cancer...usually caused by the above, and alcohol too.

Not easy things to avoid here in the west.

So, yes, he WAS a victim of the society he lived in, and villified so much in his music.

hellish- good point, and one a lot of people obviously didn't want to hear. But modern living is a pretty toxic affair: plastic bottles and pvc pipes leaking poison in your water, radiation in your fruit, pesticides in veggies, mercury in the fish, exhaust in the air, factory farmed meat grown in its own shit and then pumped with hormones, steroids, nitrates, coloring and preservatives, frying pans coated with carcinogens, and genetic modification too. Move to the country (if there's any left.)
