This was actually when I was fascinated with Todd, the whole bad guy/tortured routine worked for me. It is no secret that I now hate the character with a passion, but there was point when RH portrayed him the character had real DEPTH, before he became cartoonish and mean. He wasn't just hateful. You could see the layers within him and even the goodness, esp. when Viki was going through her DID and Todd was on her side trying to help. Wow!

I think rape is unforgivable, but Todd gang raped her. thats even more horrible. i dont see how they could EVER get passed that. its like they want to make tTodd and MArty a Luke and Laura(GH) cuz a drunken LUke raped Laura and they are now the biggest super couple, but Marty and Todd have been through too much bad to ever have that good.

Todd had been stabbed trying to apprehend the hospital rapist (later revealed to be Powell), and the guy got the better of him. I don't remember the episode exactly, but Marty either found him or was at the hospital when he was brought in.

Well, they did not turn it romantic, it's not like him and Marty had a romance after he raped her, it was more like a love-hate relationship, and a I'll do anything to make up for what i did to you thing. Now him and Blair.... different story. I like how they show that there are grey areas to people, not just black and white rape-evil guy, victim-good guy, ther's more to people than just Good/Bad guy. there is why, how, when, and can they change? Obviously so in the case of Todd.

But that's exactly what Malone was writing in 95. That is the reason RH left. If RH didn't give a rats @ss then Malone would have wrote the romance of the rapist & his victim. Thankfully RH & SH were both insistant on not doing it. Roger came back only after Malone was gone.

Uh BIG difference between Luke and Laura vs Todd and Marty. Luke did not plan to rape Laura and was immediately sorry for what he did (true, genuine remorse). Todd plotted Marty's rape, it was premeditated. And he relentlessly harrassed and terrorized her after that. And the writers tried to make Todd into some kind of a sex symbol and Marty into a vindictive shrew!
