@EZCreepin Tough comin out of that Norris division back then. They were upset by my North Stars in 91 but other than that, always having to face the Hawks who were damn good or the Leafs when they were good with Gilmour, Potvin, etc. Came close in 96 but lost that game 7 OT to the Wings in round 2. Just tough sailing.
@Hannanstl Sure buddy. Courtnall was traded to Vancouver along with Momesso and Ronning for Dan Quinn and Gath Butcher at the deadline in '91, Brind'Amour was just a kid and was traded to Philly in '91 anyways, and Stevens yes. If you're gonna call them "stacked and loaded" because they had Courtnall and Brind'Amour in the lineup briefly behind Hull and Oates you're the one that's high. Curtis Joseph wasn't anything yet either.
@Hannanstl The main thing is though, even if having the three you mentioned meant they were "stacked and loaded", your argument is flawed. Both Stevens and Courtnall were only there for the 90-91 season, with Courtnall being traded at the deadline so he never even played a playoff game for them.
One of the most phenomenal goal scorers that ever played. He is the last to accomplish the 50/50 feat back in the 1991/1992 season. I don't believe the St. Louis Blues, or possibly even the NHL will see another goal scorer like Hull for decades.
Neely does not officially qualify for 50-in-50 status because the NHL requires a player to have scored his 50th goal in or prior to his team's 50th game.
BOBBY Hull was the god! Only player ever better than Hull (I hate to say) was Bobby Orr. Then Gretzky, then Lemieux...

I grew up hearing Ken Wilson say "Oates to Hull he shoots he scores". It was a beautiful thing.

it still amazes me that the blues didnt win a stanley cup with all of the talent they had back then :/

@EZCreepin
Yea same here... they kind of deserved it.

@EZCreepin After Hull and Oates, there wasn't really an abundance of talent there. Then they traded Oates away for some odd reason.

yea, i mean there was enough talent to win a cup, but ya know, the blues curse :/

Super Mario Lemieux will always be the god of the NHL but Hull is the greatest sniper of AL TIME only next to Mike Bossy.
