the codec quality on the Zune HD is INCREDIBLE. i have a pair of high-quality DJ rated Sony headphones, and there is an extremely obvious difference in sound quality between the iTouch and the Zune HD. hands down, the best media playback device is Zune.

What about your OWN SONGS? can you drag and drop your songs from your pc to the zune HD? Can we put our own mp3 songs without subscribing to buy songs on the Zune in order to listen to them? I got a lot of songs on my computer and If i cant drop them onthe ZUNE HD...this product is USELESS!!!

@spacetrance1 Honeslty man I got the ZuneHD 16gcause I have a xbox and Windows computer so i thought it be easier to access everythin if i got a microsoft product.. but since ive got it, i kinda regret it cause the websites i keep trying to access like youtube,CANT access because there not microsoft affilated Basically its not user friendly. its soley based on Mircrosoft products. Trading it in for Ipod so i can atleast get on youtube watch some videos in free time. BINGbrowserSUCKS!!

@ghost6392 Battery life is outrageous only reason I use it, watched movies, podcasts played app games for hours and still at 3/4 to 1/2 batter life. fell alseep listenin to it with repeat on, woke up still playing, did'nt die till later that day. Got it for christmas. 12/25- recharged it first time today 12/28

@HeyZues09 yea i got it to for christmas for myself.i got the 32gb. its wicked awesome and in my opinion an ipod killer. battery life is crazy. everything about it is awesome. just wish the had some more apps but they are of high quality. glad tht i went with ma gut and got the zune. oh and i bought the darl knight frm zune marketplace and the video is fucking stunning on this little beast. the oled screen blows the ipod out the water

@ghost6392 Yea the batter life and music quality is the reason this product is so good but I did'nt know it didn't play flash player... so kinda bummed from that.. the new ipod to me is way better because of the user friendly apps and web browser that runs just about everything. the screen on the new ipod is incorprated with the retina display which supposed to be the best on the market so i hope it doesnt let down.

@HeyZues09 yea, the retina is ok, its not as good as the iphone 4 but its good, probally not as good as the oled display. really when it come down to it, the zune is made for quality and the ipod is made for quantity. overall both are ok. ipod=games and apps, zune=music and video

Apple is no good , the only product i have is an itouch 16gb... I dont like it at all and dont care about the stupid apps. Anyways if i could go back a year i would choose the zone over the itouch anyday!

They say charge for 30 mins because if u go updating firmware and the charge runs out/dies on you while updating firmware you will either have to do a hard reset/clear or in rare cases you might end up with a bricked zunehd.

I just got the 16gb Zune HD and its great. I like it better than my iPod touch. The only negative

thing i can say is that the Zune needs more apps,

but if you judge it based on Video, Music, Pictures and HD Radio, its better.

im assuming that since when you boot it up it dose not have the updated software that it needs so they dont want the zune to lose all of its battery before its updated so nothing will go wrong during the update
