  • Wrong!

The future of television is what you are watching now.

  • Want to watch the soccer game at work? Agree to do an interview! =P

  • Go Portugal!

  • the music at the beginning reminds me of "the most extreme"

  • @hakesho I love that show!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i dont remember subscribing to this. o well it was cool. the old guy was flipping us off lol.

  • Most of what I watch is on Youtube, Fora.tv, ted.com, and other sites like that. tv is a brain drain... nothing thought provoking, just the same idea regurgitated.

  • At 1:16, is something being launched up into the sky or is it just a reflection in the lens????

(about 1/4 way from the left and 1/4 way from the top of the screen)

  • Satellites broadcast TV and broad band internet to the world, just because you weird generation X guys are slumped, round shoulderd in front of your computer, does not mean the rest of the world is.

  • @jk28416 Man...nobody's slumped in front of my living room computer's 46 inch screen. I'm just saying that there is exactly zero utility to paying $300-$400 every single month for shit-ass TV stations when everything I want to watch can be downloaded or watched online for free. If you've got money to blow and want to sit through commercials and schedule your life around when your favorite shows are on, that's fine with me.

  • @andy16666 Andy, you are not watching anything for free if you are having to pay for the internet.

Also, you have to think, digital cable and satellite is a safe medium where you can watch your favorite TV shows and movies without having to worry about all the nasty things your computer can catch from the internet. And from providers such as mine, you can always watch a show you missed anytime after it has aired.

  • @LordBrakensiek you can get internet free if you live in an apartment building with people who dont know how to secure their Wifi. pretty good internet, leeching off everyone.

  • @LordBrakensiek Yeah...I understand that. But I pay for an internet connection; not for the high definition shows/movies I watch. And in terms of "nasty things", I run Linux.

Now I'm glad all you guys are overpaying for cable because it means that the shows get made in the first place; they do have a cost. But the TV model doesn't really work for me; it's too inflexible. Even if I paid, I would still choose the near complete freedom of the internet over being spoon-fed by a network.

  • future and television in 1 sentence? mwhahahahahahaha... NEVER!!!@#!$@$

  • fuck TV. YouTube #FTW

  • I don't know why people think "television" and TV channels are on the up and up. They may still be popular among some rich people with hundreds of dollars a month to blow on digital cable for only a hand full of good channels. But for the rest of us, it's an outmoded medium which offers very little value in comparison to a computer connected to the internet. Realistically, the "future of television" is obsolescence.

  • Wow who doesn't know that worldwide transmissions are made by satellites?? This is very old news, like several decades old. Trying to appear innovative by sensationalizing old technology?!
