I know from listening to most of your videos that creating wealth isn't a priority but if you could figure out a way to take this show on the road........well, all I can say is I'd travel after buying an expensive ticket for a front row seat. Even an athiest would say "wow".
I am so glad sir.... joyful inside indeed ....to witness this beautiful moment of 1:35 minutes long .... it is such a blessing sir.... such a blessing indeed...
I earnestly wish that you would continue to be such a blessing as I try to aspire to do the same with the strength of our Lord .... :)
Vance, I liked it, but I was wondering if you have any videos, where you don't use auto tune? It sure is handy when trying to nail harmonies, but I think it might actually be taking away from your voice. You do an amazing job with these multitracks. Keep it up!!!
This was very nice. Do you mind telling me how you videotaped this. Was this prerecorded or was the video where we see you singing, the actually recording. Also, how did you get all four shots. Just got a video camera and would like to do something like this. I really enjoyed this.
I suggest you get your facts straight before you make such comments. This is 100% my voice, as well as the other 30 videos I have on my page. This song was arranged by Jim Clancy for the Acoustix. The song is called "Hymns Of The Cross Medley".
@vanceperry lol, pounce on those haters. I keep coming back to your channel when I get to work...everything is beautiful. My favorite has to be your How Deep is the Ocean video. Thanks for such great work :)
Awsome..Really goooood.. Are you using Cubase to recording your voice ?? I would like to learn this technic.. Will you tell me please.? Maybe its to complicated to tell by mail.Maybe you know someone on the nett that will show me. Sorry my english.
This one was also arranged by Jim Clancy. I picked the parts out on this one from listening to an Acoustix youtube video. I only found out recently that this was arranged by the great Mr. Clancy. Thanks.
It's a Jim Clancy Arrangement for The Acoustix featured on their album "O Worship The King" and recently sang on the Gaither video "How Great Thou Art"
this is the best tag I have heard on youtube. I have heard probably around 200-300 of them so far. VERY good blending. Too bad there aren't four of you...You could take something this to the international convention. I used to sing with the Huron Valley Harmonizers (2002 Pioneer District Champs!)
Wow, whoever wrote that tag managed to drag out the last two lines for all it was worth :P I sing this in a 4-part traditional Welsh setup male choir (Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone, Bass), so obviously the chords are totally different to someone who hasn't grown up on Barbershop, but that was really good, Vance! I heard distinct ringing on that last chord, too! Well done :D
wonderful, wonderful job, sir and an excellent job finishing the song by taking us to the cross and reminding us of the focus of the song. That last part makes me tear up every time. God bless.
Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD................
Galatians 6:14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Thanks Bobby! I heard a version of this sung by the Acoustix. I picked out the parts and arranged it like I heard it, so I did not use sheet music for it. Glad you enjoyed.
I sang in a barbershop quartet for 27 years, and tried some multitracking a few times. Now my 71 year old vocal cords won't hit either the tenor or bass parts.
You're doing a fabulous job and this is one of my favorites.
I can't remember what Vance said he is but just from listening to his stuff I'd say a bass. But whats amazing about tenor and bass is they use the exact same placement that is why people can switch from bass to tenor so easily such as Storm Front's tenor who was originally a bass.
Thanks! You can download mixcraft at w w w.acoustica. com / mixcraft. I also use a video editing software called Ulead VideoStudio 11 for my videos. I bought mine on eBay but you can google it, you should be able to find it. I record into mixcraft while video taping, then sync and upload. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
One more thing...id like to send you a tag that i wrote just recently and i think that you could do this one well. its called Deep River. its a little high in the tenor but you could handle it. anyway i can contac you or send you the parts?
hahah fantastic job Vance! this was beautiful. I only have one beef, that is with the clarity of some of the words. I felt that some of the words were a little tough to decipher, maybe a little too relaxed on some double consonants or quickly changing vowels.
Although, that also gave me chills. Heh.. what you can do with even just a rock band mic hahah
Thanks for the comments. I have a problem with consonants. And I was trying not to over enunciate because of the cheap mic. I had to do about a million retakes because it was popping and cracking all over the place. I do thank you for your words and feedback and thanks for listening!!
