  • I know from listening to most of your videos that creating wealth isn't a priority but if you could figure out a way to take this show on the road........well, all I can say is I'd travel after buying an expensive ticket for a front row seat. Even an athiest would say "wow".

  • My 90 year old aunt has me sending your stuff to all her friends.

  • Wish my 89 year old mom had the internet so she could see and hear this. Loved it!

  • I LIKE THIS VIDEO !!!

  • @StufftMusic He learns this stuff by rote. no music available.

  • Wow. Glory to God, Brother.

  • Wow. GLORY, Brother!

  • Vance, I liked it, but I was wondering if you have any videos, where you don't use auto tune? It sure is handy when trying to nail harmonies, but I think it might actually be taking away from your voice. You do an amazing job with these multitracks. Keep it up!!!

  • I love this song. Sounds wonderful! Keep it up!

  • This was very nice. Do you mind telling me how you videotaped this. Was this prerecorded or was the video where we see you singing, the actually recording. Also, how did you get all four shots. Just got a video camera and would like to do something like this. I really enjoyed this.

  • The perfect ending to finals. Good luck and god bless to all those still working.

  • Thanks Matt. I miss you and hope all is well. :)

  • Very very nice!!!

  • I suggest you get your facts straight before you make such comments. This is 100% my voice, as well as the other 30 videos I have on my page. This song was arranged by Jim Clancy for the Acoustix. The song is called "Hymns Of The Cross Medley".

  • @vanceperry lol, pounce on those haters. I keep coming back to your channel when I get to work...everything is beautiful. My favorite has to be your How Deep is the Ocean video. Thanks for such great work :)

  • @MrFilmesclassicos- just... wow.

  • beautiful !!!!!The chord progressinons are very soul fulfilling LOVE THAT BABERSHOP

  • Correct me if Im wrong, but I hear an overtone at the end :O amazing job man!!!

  • You did. The high "do" an octave above, which is the first overtone heard in the overtone series. Great ear!

  • Very Nice!!

  • why dont you ever sing the full song???!!?!! AHHHHHH ITS AMAZING!!!?!??!

  • WOW!! very impressed could you plz show me how you did that hit me up with the info God Bless! :)

  • I'm so glad that it wasn't one of those short barbershop tags!

    Great work :)

  • Wow... amazing tag... I've seen people with ranges that high and ranges that low but none of both

  • hey bro!!! ha ha

  • Awsome..Really goooood.. Are you using Cubase to recording your voice ?? I would like to learn this technic.. Will you tell me please.? Maybe its to complicated to tell by mail.Maybe you know someone on the nett that will show me. Sorry my english.

    Ole C. Norway.

  • This one was also arranged by Jim Clancy. I picked the parts out on this one from listening to an Acoustix youtube video. I only found out recently that this was arranged by the great Mr. Clancy. Thanks.

  • You're using a Rock Band microphone?!? The quality is amazing! Good job man!

  • outstanding job dude

  • This has Acoustix written ALL over it! UNREAL. Could take this to the International Convention and easily place in top 20. GREAT JOB!

  • Kenny Powers?!!

  • Thank you! Very moving!

    Andrew, Sweden

  • Well done, sir. I enjoy this tag very much.

  • you are sooo good! I love it!!!

  • This is very impressive, keep it up sir!

  • wow u r really good this is one of my favorite songs and i love the slide near the end

  • This is really good you are real good at hitting low tones are you a bari.

    i give it 5 stars.

I wish i could sing it now but no one in brasil recongnizes BarberShop.

    lol

5 out of 5 stars man.

  • This is brilliant.

Who is the arrangement by? Thinking getting my male voice choir to do this

  • I believe the Acoustix arranged this. I know they sang it, but I'm not for sure if they arranged it. Thanks for listening!

  • It's a Jim Clancy Arrangement for The Acoustix featured on their album "O Worship The King" and recently sang on the Gaither video "How Great Thou Art"

  • Still wiping the tears from my eyes...simply beautiful. Keep those barbershop tunes coming Vance!

  • I'm glad this moved you. I appreciate your comments. It means a lot. :)

  • Awesome!

    Consider having 1 extra subscription!

  • Thank you! And thanks for subscribing. Hope you enjoy. :)

  • I loved that!

  • wow...

  • this is the best tag I have heard on youtube. I have heard probably around 200-300 of them so far. VERY good blending. Too bad there aren't four of you...You could take something this to the international convention. I used to sing with the Huron Valley Harmonizers (2002 Pioneer District Champs!)

  • Thank you Sir. I appreciate your comments. Are you still singing barbershop?

  • Wow, whoever wrote that tag managed to drag out the last two lines for all it was worth :P I sing this in a 4-part traditional Welsh setup male choir (Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Baritone, Bass), so obviously the chords are totally different to someone who hasn't grown up on Barbershop, but that was really good, Vance! I heard distinct ringing on that last chord, too! Well done :D

  • wonderful, wonderful job, sir and an excellent job finishing the song by taking us to the cross and reminding us of the focus of the song. That last part makes me tear up every time. God bless.

  • Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate it. I can tell you get it and that is what is most important. God bless. :)

  • Ah, you've blessed me again, brother :)

Thus says the LORD: "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD................

Galatians 6:14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

    Could you contact me privately?

  • good stuff i really like it

is that the microphone from rock band? lol

  • Yup...lol...pretty cool, huh? Thanks for listening. :)

  • Hey Vance - Im a Barbershop singer (lead)and a huge fan of yours! This tag is SO inspiring! Where did you get the music for this one?

  • Thanks Bobby! I heard a version of this sung by the Acoustix. I picked out the parts and arranged it like I heard it, so I did not use sheet music for it. Glad you enjoyed.

    Take care Buddy.

  • I sang in a barbershop quartet for 27 years, and tried some multitracking a few times. Now my 71 year old vocal cords won't hit either the tenor or bass parts.

You're doing a fabulous job and this is one of my favorites.

  • What an excellent tag with the Old Rugged Cross, you sang it like you meant it.

I have been in a barbershop quartet for many years and you can see me on youtube...

Type in warmar2 and look for Mr. Sandman

I sing tenor , on the left side. Warren/Canada

  • Thanks Warren! I enjoyed your videos! Love that song Mr. Sandman. You did a good job being the bass on it. :)

  • This is awesome, and one of my favorite gospel songs. I think this is my favorite muititrack on youtube now.

  • I wish there was some free software that would let me do something like that. Of course I can't sing as good as you do.

  • Right now this is my favorite multi-track!

  • Amen! :-)

  • woah lol how u do dat dass crazzy

  • great work

  • Wow... that gave me goosebumps! Beautiful! :D

  • amazing. i hope i can be as good as you someday. your blend is amazing. and i love your tenor voice. one question. can i have the music? please!

  • Thanks Buddy. I appreciate the comments. Be sure to subscribe. I'm working on some pretty interesting stuff that should come out in the next few days.

Oh, the music...I don't have. I learned this from picking out the parts on an Acoustix version.

  • That is one beautiful tag....and sung with great sensitivity......love it!

  • Thank you for the comment. I appreciate it. :)

  • nice 4 in 1 vid 5*

  • Beautiful!!

I want to learn to compose this king of music...

What software do you use to record it?

  • Thanks! I used Mixcraft 4 software with a Rock Band mic...LOL. I appreciate you listening. :)

  • Thank you!

  • One of my favorite tags! Love the sound you have on this one.

  • Good job Vance. Sounds great! A bit long to be a tag though ;)

  • thats an easy 5 stars, great arrangement

  • nice job vance.

  • Now that is pretty! I'd love to have the music to try to do this tag with my southern gospel quartet

  • Thanks Joe! I don't have the music to this. I learned it by listening to Acoustix version. Sorry, but thanks for listening!!

  • Wow, thanks! I appreciate your comments. I'm glad this touched you.

  • *Jaw still dropped*

Amazing! thanks so much for posting!

    5 stars

  • Thanks Mike! We need to start talking about collaborating again. Take care Buddy!

  • Very nice. I teared up, upon first listen. You got some pretty good tenor on ya there.

  • Thanks Liquid!

  • I can't remember what Vance said he is but just from listening to his stuff I'd say a bass. But whats amazing about tenor and bass is they use the exact same placement that is why people can switch from bass to tenor so easily such as Storm Front's tenor who was originally a bass.

  • nice man, keep em coming!

  • Good job vance. where can you get mixcraft and how do you do video and stuff? ive always wanted to multi track

  • Thanks! You can download mixcraft at w w w.acoustica. com / mixcraft. I also use a video editing software called Ulead VideoStudio 11 for my videos. I bought mine on eBay but you can google it, you should be able to find it. I record into mixcraft while video taping, then sync and upload. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

    Thanks for listening!!

  • Another question...are you by chance related to Lou Perry?

  • Nope, not related. Do I wish I was? :)

  • One more thing...id like to send you a tag that i wrote just recently and i think that you could do this one well. its called Deep River. its a little high in the tenor but you could handle it. anyway i can contac you or send you the parts?

  • Sure! I can give it a shot. :) I will send you an email with my email address.

  • Very nice man, good to have you back!

  • i heard an overtone... :D

  • Beautiful man. Glad to see you got back into multitracking after you sold that huge studio.

  • Thanks Buddy!

  • hahah fantastic job Vance! this was beautiful. I only have one beef, that is with the clarity of some of the words. I felt that some of the words were a little tough to decipher, maybe a little too relaxed on some double consonants or quickly changing vowels.

Although, that also gave me chills. Heh.. what you can do with even just a rock band mic hahah

  • Thanks for the comments. I have a problem with consonants. And I was trying not to over enunciate because of the cheap mic. I had to do about a million retakes because it was popping and cracking all over the place. I do thank you for your words and feedback and thanks for listening!!

  • Shivers down my spine. No words ... :|

    Beautiful 5 stars, no question.

  • Wow Vance! To quote Christian comedian Mark Lowry; "My goosebumps gave birth to more goosebumps". By far your best work to date sir!! Keep up the good work Vance!

    Your brother in harmony,

    Bry

  • absolutely beautiful!!!! made me cry brother

    !!!!! miss you so much

    vood

  • Nice use of the reverb...Dramatic!!!

    And the bass...SUPERB!!

  • Definitely your best work this far, Vance! Sounds great! Impressibe how you pull out 1:30 straight through! That's lnger than any of my tags!

  • Thanks Simon! Coming from the master, that makes me feel pretty darn good. I appreciate you Buddy.

  • Superb arrangement. Superb execution. I can hear my Uncle Jim singing that tenor line.

  • That was great!!!!nice to have you uploading great video's again!Very well blended!(Randy)

  • Thanks Randy. Hope all is well with you, Buddy.

  • You know, of all these you've posted, this is probably my favorite one ever. Beautiful harmonies, they are, and you nailed 'em.

    Miss you, man!

  • Thanks Mo! Miss you too!

  • Nice job, glad to see you doing more of these :)
