  • I thought it was guitar music, now I understand

  • I like it

  • Awesome, I've always known this as a guitar song because of Andrea Segovia and only recently found out that it was originally written for piano. You did a very good job playing this, as it doesn't look like a very easy piece for either instrument.

  • complimenti! bella esecuzione!

  • ok so that was disgustingly amazing... seriously, awesome

  • Thank you so much for posting this you play flawless. I have never had formal lessons but, I do not let that stand in the way. Odd as it may seem you have inspired a burning desire in me to take the challenge and learn this...I thank you for that. Namaste!

    Ev~

  • I'm learning this song on guitar!!!

  • i am learning this song right now!!!!!

  • this piece is amazing!!!! i admit that a guitar gives it a romantic and seduecing sound but she plays it lovely with elegance and noble way that no guitar can achieve

  • Jolie performance!!! Bravo!!!

  • it is bool sheet, guitar rules

  • youtube.com/watch?v=o1aBu2KzcMc

  • @opustenzy fuck you

  • Even the movements at 4:26 and the "waves" formed during the refrain are much more beautiful to see on the piano.

  • I think it is so much better on piano. It sounds more solemn and pure.

  • J'adore !

  • you got to tell me how to do that O.O

  • Her hands are so beautiful!..

  • amazing :)

  • Where their any "song" written for guitar...you know.. back in the days

  • Comment removed

  • Quick question is it supposed to be played with staccato? ???

  • it was originally written for the piano, but it's become way more popular for the guitar.

  • @The7vendeadlysins Idiot, it was originally written for guitar, dumbass

  • @WaterBender02 Actually, you're wrong. It was originally written for piano. Maybe you should look up on your music history before making a fool out of yourself.

  • @MaDmExIcAnBuRiToS So my professor at the conservatoire of Paris is wrong? I highly doubt it

  • @WaterBender02 Yeah he is. Also, seeing as how he was a pianist and not a guitarist, I find highly unlikely that he would compose a song on the guitar. Which is an instrument he does not play. Maybe you need a new teacher.

  • asturias.... i love this suite, but sometimes i think it might be played with a bagpipe! it would be funny, at last

  • nice dynamics on notes!!!!!!

  • Great interpretation, indeed!!

I'm trying to play it, and, damn, it's not easy at some parts...

    My respects to you...

  • Katrina, I thoroughly enjoyed your interpretation, I'm learning this piece and I'm up to page three. imo a very good effort well done.

fwiw thought the pace was really nice, a couple of errors along the way but still very nice to hear and thankfully not robotic as some of the other you tube stuff I felt there was feeling in it.

If you get the chance try and listen to Yoko Suzuki play it, imo the best I have heard yet

Look forward to seeing more of you playing

    love the jumper :-)))))

  • I was pretty enthralled - this is fantastic. Translates to piano a lot better than I expected. :)

  • @adammerlinsmith erm, it was originally piano.

  • @TehTyg13 Well, shows what I know. :P

  • more suited to the guitar.to me it loses its spanish fire on piano.thats only my humble opinion.jose medina

  • This performance is impressive because there is not a lot of rubato, and because the touch is well adapted to the different parts of this piece.

Just at the conclusion, I would prefer a fortissimo, but this is subjective.

  • die sprünge klappen nicht :D

  • I like how Alicia Delarrocha plays it a lot better. This woman does not play it with feeling...at all! It does not come through. I play the piece myself and I do not know if it is the recording equipment or what but I detected some false notes here and there, did anyone else detect that?

  • beautiful composition but i prefer it on classical guitar

  • Congratulations, superb performance, I wish I was that good.

Lots of character in that piano.

  • i still believe it sounds better on the guitar

  • soft imaginations, techniques ... bravo

  • This is not asturias... Asturias is the Andres Segovia's Guitar Arragment.... THis opus is called LEYENDA!

  • your fingers are so cute, what´s yout name, and where do you live?

  • Comment removed

  • sound much better on guitar though

  • this piece was my final exam but on calssical guitar :)

  • you can say whatever you want, it will always sound better on the classical guitar.

  • browny points for you sir

  • guitar version sounds better.

  • @MrZaf12 you got to admit that she is pretty good

  • @MrZaf12 is that the recording is of poor quality.

  • @MrZaf12 indeed

  • rachmanioff prelude op 23 no 5

  • My favourite piano version. Well delivered. Some errors but soon forgiven and made up for by the great jumper! I love this on guitar also. Unfair to compare the two. They are both beautiful in their own ways.

  • Great music !

  • it is absolutely beautiful! So well done! Do you think you could do a tutorial??

  • Nice! :D

  • this piece sound SO much better on guitar :)

  • la la la laaa la la aaalaalaaaa !!!

  • I can not see their hands while her tits are bouncing

  • Bravo!!

  • Asturias wrote this for piano with the intention to imitate the sound of the flamenco guitar. Albeniz played also guitar, but at that time, guitar was considered a folkloristic instrument and wasn't studied in musical universities or in conservatories ( Francisco Tarrega, the greatest composer for classical guitar, was principally a pianist and played guitar as a self-taught). With Andres Segovia the classical guitar became a classical instrument, and Asturias became a famous repertory piece.

  • congrats! wish i could play this so amazing!

  • Hat's off to those who can also play this on the guitar. I too just turned 14 and can play this, It's great to see musicians on youtube and not haters, but anyone who thinks justin beiber has talent is either deaf, retarded, or female...

  • @cookiev12 I can only play the first part on guitar. When all the chords come in, especially the C7 part (D#7 on this piano version), it becomes a bit too tricky.

  • Justin Bieber songs are better than this!

    - A quote from a musically retarded person.

  • It's said that Asturias was strongly inspired by the Granaina, also in 6/8 and in Eminor, the middle part inspired by it's the free phases. I've often heard flamencos play Asturias or similar for Granaina - the question would be who inspired who. Think of the Malagueña, which is closely related to the Granaina. That repetitive tremolo seems so much more typical of a stringed instrument. It would suprise me if this piece wasn't somehow inspired by the guitar.

    Great playing, by the way!

  • @Freddran Don't get me wrong. This song is very tricky, but I just turned thirteen and I can play this song. I will put up a video of it in a month or so. It's not as hard as it looks.

  • the hardest thing to do is keeping the rythm the same troughout the whole song. On the piano as well as on the guitar, ow, and Freddran, on the guitar you also have to make high velocity jumps with a lot of precision... i personally like the composition better on guitar but thats just oppinion ;)

  • Wwwwqwds "!=, iib.ji@€€j,,ay&€ b-a

  • aaawesome

  • Preciosas manos y precioso sonido.

  • it sounds so much better on guitar :)

  • very very nice

  • it sounds much better on guitar

  • @ChristinaZchrk Well it's easier to play it on guitar

  • @Freddran Never said it's not!

  • @Freddran lol of curse it's not, you have to put much more effort on making barres with left hand and movements with right hand, in piano you just have to press the keys ¬¬

  • @ricardohernandezosun hm sure, but with high velocity, lightness and with long-distance jumps at once. That's tricky.

  • @Freddran nope:D

  • do they have a grand piano on the kitchen?! cuz she's a woman rigth?

  • @BenjaminTheHolyDiver So...? women... men... I don't find the fucking difference here...

  • @GloomySeason i suck dont i...

  • Beautiful! Thank you for the upload.

  • It is originally for piano. But it sounds way better on guitar.

  • @TheMusicalManiac buy the book

Machen Sie so weiter!!!

  • maaaan wtf is that "tsst" sound that happens every goddam second its so annoying...

  • It's for classical guitar but he played it on the piano.

  • Perfect!

  • Asturias is for piano than transcritted for guitar

  • Nice Fingers...Wonderful Perfomance,,.Marry Me????... :-D

  • I watch this everyday for inspiration. Fuck you chords. Honestly, fuck you.

  • bravo! I'm learning this and the part with the chords is a real challenge!

  • this video would be perfeck if it wasnt for that skweking sound in the back :(

  • people have to be mentally sick not to like this

  • unbelivable, 5*..

  • i can do that... -.-

  • Really well done, even if I prefer it with a bitvmore pauses between the accords in the first and 3rd part, and also between the bass note and high notes in the same part. But you did really well for the middle part, very nicely balanced and the tremolos were really well realised. Bravo

  • My girlfriend has to play this for her upcoming test, she's really good but worried about it

    she's been playing since 4, but she's 14

and she you need more tension between notes, but you have good control of sound and accuracy

  • Comment removed

  • fantastic, but for guitar that's most beutiful...

  • @ZuccheroFornaciari95 It was originally written for the piano, and I believe it gives the composition more power and creates an unique atmosphere, which you wouldn't get if it was played on the guitar imo.

  • Some mistakes, but, there's always mistakes in this piece... Awesome work ! I can't play it that fast, with a touch like yours !

  • is that a cricket on the background? or is something wrong with my computer?

  • Genial.

  • @bigbosscod2 yeah but i still enjoy the guitar one a lot more, of course its a matter of perception.

  • this is so relaxing

  • Its so much better when played by a guitarrist. The piano arrangement does not sound so good.

  • @Guitarpipi you know that it was written by Isaac originally for the piano right? :P

  • @Guitarpipi This originally On Piano! man. And Piano Verison Rocks!

  • i love ur shirt.

  • @secretdarrylsd lol me too

  • @bubelebu hehehehe...You know what I mean?

  • @secretdarrylsd hahaha yes!

  • @bubelebu though the song was good. hehehe . so as the shirt

  • @secretdarrylsd yep very good, but the shirt is than the song =D

  • this song requires a lot of accuracy and skill to play it right

  • braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavooo

I can't play it in guitar in this way ha ha ha ha

  • I can never play it that well!

  • ¡Olé tus cojones chata! ¡¡asi se toca!! =)

That means I luv'd it... the song's beautiful!! gr8! Albéniz was a genious...

  • amazing !!! 5* !!!

  • On guitar is extremely-extremely!-difficult!

    As it is on piano.

It's just the nature of the song.

Every instrument has its own difficulties: it's not fair to underestimate either.

  • do we get to see the face?? all i see is small titties

  • that piano sounds awful :(

  • so many dumb comments regarding the difficulty...tremolo parts-harder on guitar, chord parts- harder on piano, end of discussion

  • Love it *O*

  • well trained middle finger :D

  • bobbie....this is made for piano....and actually, it;s easier on a guitar!

  • @godra051 well,it's not easy on guitar actually

  • @bobiee36 doubt you can play it to since you dont know even how to read! Didnt say it's easy but easier than on piano! It's hard to play on anything!

  • Comment removed

  • @godra051 Please never try to compare whether it's easier on the guitar or on the piano or on the clarinet. It's an pointless discusion, as is your comment. It's like placing ''Matt Bellamy plays better!!'' at an Andres Segovia-video..

  • @godra051 and I didn't see any videos of you playing it so you can't tell it's easy ..

  • @godra051 trust me it is much more difficult on guitar

  • Bravo!

  • I´ve c this video a million times and i still love it

  • Great!!

  • Bravo!!

  • Yeah me toooo , i play guitare but i don't like this dance

  • very good posture , think i had an audition of this song in the 6th grade but i`m a lot rustier now gona try to upload a version of my own , good work by the way !

  • I would like to see you play this on guitar :) :D

  • Impresionante!

  • Don't listen to the naysayers. Beautiful fingers. Your playing is excellent and heartfelt. Horowitz made a few mistakes and he as the best. Bravo!

  • i will soon put a vid of me playing it.

  • very slow tempo and lots of mistakes... it should be at 132... left hand need to hit the right octaves.

  • Playing this piece in piano must be tougher than on guitars... I'm pretty much sure...

  • @signupsanj perhaps the chord parts, but the tremolo parts must be definitely harder on guitar don't you think?

  • @qwertyuiop46853 I am learning this song on guitar... Yeah; it is tough... It retards my speed... Hopefully i may learn it within a year :)

  • @signupsanj

haha you have no about idea about guitars.

  • damn, i can't imagine my fingers dancing like that on both guitar and piano.

  • its hard to play those chords at the first part.. i know :S

  • hi! you're an amazing piano player, i'm impressed! congratulations :) p.s. do ya have the music sheet of this song?

  • wow!the tempo was perfect!

  • Nice Play! The chord parts are the hardest, some fails but still great! Congrats!

  • I can almost play this piece, the only part I can't get are the chords in the two fast parts. This was really well played though ^_^

  • I have a video with sheet music for this so you can follow along

  • My applause. Great job! Great performance!

  • This is great, I have heard this a million times on guitar and never on piano for which it was composed for. You do great justice to it.

  • Tres jolie musique =D

  • repetition et pas bien...
