  • i felt like i was under local anesthesia while watching this video

  • he *touched* me while he was humming ='[

  • Better living through Pharmaceuticals

  • really good but, unless you are using all of that stuff in 1 operation you shouldn't open all of that. Its kinda stupid

  • @needlehater and your a doctor ?

  • @BogansForLife no i am some random high school student but Ive gone under a bunch of times

  • @needlehater He most probably did use most if not all of that which he opened, as he was preparing for a "busy day in the OR" :)

  • very nice video, thanks for recording

  • very important film for us non med people working in the med industry TY!

  • The aptitude of the sounds make me cringe.

  • SCARY!!!

  • sometimes Thiopental sodium is used for induction of anaesthesia but Propofol is just as effective, then to maintain anesthesia the gases are turned on which include Sevoflurane or Isoflurane of Halothane or Enflurane etc and the paralyzing agent will often be Succinlcholine ''also known as Suxamethonium'' or simular drugs but then at the end of the case another drug needs to be given to reverse their effects which is usually Neostigmine.

  • urr good but i hate needelss

  • What the hell's he doing handling the seringes outside the packet with NO GLOVES ON?

  • where is your machine check doc?

  • hes so ruff with the stuff

  • @nolababy0616 TBH I don't think plastic syringes and iridium metal needles are going to break being treated like that.....maybe if he repeatedly stamped on it on the ground he MIGHT do some damage. >: /

  • @nolababy0616 lolz hes practically throwing it at the camera

  • I would feel more comfortable if this guy was a specialist in animal health.

  • I would never allow this guy to administer anesthesia to me!!!! You can always tell a lot about a doctor who slams syringes and or supplies, the way this doctor does. This guy is way too careless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Jennifer M.D.

  • @jenn606 would you rather an over confident doctor or a timid doctor

  • Lol im sure hes not the only one, I would love this guy to give anaesthesia to me, at least a doctor who enjoys his work lawls.

  • That whole thing makes me VERY nervous. Im having a hystarectomy end of this month. thats ALOT of needles.

  • The "stick" is a stylette, a long piece of metal that he put inside a breathing tube, making it easier to shape and aid in placing it in the airway. How did this video get 4 1/2 stars?? Mumbling & wrapper noises...? You can hardly see anything he's doing (not exciting anyway). And why is he preparing in an office?? Doesn't he give anesthesia... in an OR?? Weird.

  • @summitk2 I guess he has to put it all in the cart then tug the cart into the OR

  • syringes sound heavy LOL

  • whats that huge stick for??

  • I either want to do something in anesthesia or become an orthopedic or cardio/thoracic surgeon :]

..bte this guy likes to throw things haha

  • no manches se la volo el anestesio,

  • My dream job as well. Can't wait for the day.

  • I want to be an anesthetist! Its my dream job!! 8DDD

  • I would so love your job. How fun and exciting, yet challenging!

  • Why too much on preparing syringe?

  • I'm currently a senior in high school looking to overtake a job in the anesthetic genre. After the twelve years of schooling, the hard-work will surely pay off. I can't wait to start!!!

  • good luck !

  • Work hard, stay away from weed, and with some luck you'll make it , long hours and lots of stress but very rewarding...

  • if i only I had an intelligence high enough to be a doctor, or an anesthesiologist. :-(

  • After college there's 3 years of medical school but after medical school how many years of residency? Also, after residency there is 1 or 2 more years of extra education for anesthisiologists. Am i right? What type of doctor goes to school (post college) longer than an anesthisiologist?

  • OK, the name Mr. Hyde does come to mind here but a very interesting video nontheless. Better be careful putting those needles back into their respective places. Ever "stick" yourself? I guess you wouldn't know for a few minutes.

  • seriously who uses 6cc syringes..douche bag!

  • This guy looks like such a malpractice case waiting to happen, I doubt he has his license anymore, this is terryifying the bacterial contact and improper use of aseptic techniques.

  • huh

  • im in a junior college, and I just started, i do plan to transfer to UCLA if i can, if not some other UC here in CA, what are the odds for me getting accepted into med-school given that i come from a junior college???

  • awesome vid well prepared im really interested in becoming an anesthesiologist i have had brain tumor surgery 4 times and knows what it feels to have pain being this kind of doctor is hte best way on not feeling pain i am very pleased and thankful for the help of these kind od doctors and it is pretty scary when they put me to sleep they put a mask on me and cold smoke come out and i start seeing black and out of no where it knocks me out pretty cool when i wake up all i feel is knoxious

  • I think this doctor needs a Mask to prevent polluting the Syringes. Asepsis is very important.

  • What?? A mask everytime you take a syringe out? You have to be joking.

  • are you dumb? All it takes it one cough, one sneeze, one little germ to get inside an open wound, and all hell can break loose, i.e: staph infections, it's no fun.

  • you creep me out while you hum

  • I'm interested in persuing anestheology, although I'm just a junior in high school,I just have two questions. What is intubation?,and What is the average amount of school years total?

  • 12 yeasrs of collage you get paid to go to school and if you work at the hostpital they pay for some stuff

  • I'm also a junior in high school. As far as anesthesiology goes: 4 years pre med, 4 years me, maybe about 4 years residency it all depends. Although you do get paid during residency-about 30-50,000. 12 years total. It takes total dedication but most decide which medical pathway they are going to take during med school :)

  • This video is AWSOMe. Ur the one i want to prepare for my surgery.

  • have created some clinical videos

    hopefully helpful for those studying/reviewing

    website: o2demand

  • there is no such thing as anestesia gas its oxygen, you get a medication called propofol that puts you to sleep

  • Yeah....better look that one up again...Currently there are three gases (Potent Inhalation Agents) in use, Sevoflurane, Desflurane and Isoflurane, and someplaces may still use Halothane. Yes, propofol is used to induce a "sleeping state", after which a neuromuscular blocker (paralytic) is given. (sometimes not, depending on pt) THEN, after intubation, the gases are turned on. With children, they may have a mask induction, where the gas (Sevo usually) is used to put them "asleep" Check yourself..

  • I don´t like anestesia gas. :( It´s smelling offull! . :( I ´m was operated on when I´m was 10 years old.

  • Nope, more like 100 stars.

  • WELL DONE TWENTY STARS.

  • this is a great vid, loved it, im wanting to become an anesthesiologist, great vid ^^

  • This is really good,

    Five Stars
