@hotrog2 for things such as graduation and school theres a second chance (community college, adult schools ect), but theres only one chance for salvation, be careful about this...God will forgive us if we truly repent, just believe Him!...may God bless you and help you get to heaven!!!
@hotrog2 You need to take your sorrows to the Lord. Pour out your heart to Him, He will hear your cries. Once you've get down on your knees & pray to God and ask forgiveness for the sin in your life ( we are all sinners, it states so in the book of Romans in the Bible.."for all have sinned and fall short of God's glory..." you then forgive yourself and start anew. Once you come to Him in humility and ask Him to be Lord and Savior of your life and put your trust in Him for salvation you are saved
Have you been saved? Have you repented, and turned from your sin..? If you are a believer, and have confessed, repented, and been baptized, and most important, if you believe that Jesus is Lord, then you are a Christian. If you are a Christian, then you can claim the promise of 1rst John 1:9.(again, please read) We ALL mess up. We confess, and He forgives. I dont really think we have to forgive ourselves. His forgiveness is enough.

@ttidiane23, please forgive me, I am a bit puzzled by the question, but, how my relationship with Him works is, I simply loved by Him. As I just live each moment daily with Him, I am so aware of His love and presence in my heart and life. It is so easy. He changes my heart to be like Him. He is the potter. Creating and crafting His image in me. It isn't about what I can do or should do, but the issue is my heart. Being willing to have Him change me. Prayer changes so much, even an old heart.

He helped me become a software engineer and work for IBM on some of the largest companies in the world. Life has been so full and so many answered prayers, for others and for myself. You see the object of my faith is real. Faith is all about the object. But that was all I needed so long ago when I simply prayed, "Lord come on in". That was it. Someone told me "Jesus Loves You". He has.

So many blessings too. 3 other children, 6 grandchildren, wonderful wife. Being able to provide for my family.
