iv had all the work stations and this just shits on them all for most stuff dont be fooled tho kurzweil well have a new k series up there sleeves but for now this well do me. i still have a triton tr rack and motif but this is the go to syth for me to start writing.
Is it just me, or is the name itself "PC3" a misnomer in terms of marketing? I didn't even entertain the idea of the board for the longest time because I thought it was simply a Piano/performance controller with a few presets built in. Should this have been called a K2700 or K3000 (minus the sampling and rack version) ? And yes, I want one too - IN A RACK with sampling. :)
Did you really??? I can't decide, been standing in the store with this and rd-700gx for a week now, several hours each day... just can't decide which way to go..
Ive had the older PC2X with the orchestra ROM for about a year, and I really like it. It doesn't have quite as many sounds as the PC3, but the quality is just a good. I like the way that the PC2 is laid out. When you switch instrument banks it goes back to the last patch you had set. So you can preset ptches ahead of time and switch between them during performance. The PC3 goes back to the #1 patch in that bank...they can't be preset...at least to my knowledge.
Actually the PC3x has a setup mode for just that which supports different banks of 16 presets in each. So you can. I bought one so I have some first hand experience. I don't think anybody will really care about this but I can't play at all, all I can do is look at it because of severe OCD. I'm a prisoner in my own mind, and it prevents me from doing what I love. Nevermind, anyways, it is possible.
Bought the pc3x, it's quite nice but the anger in me for not getting to play it is almost unbearable. I have severe OCD and can only look at the instrument now, in fear of making it dirty. So buy it, if you can use it only, i've only played on it about 3 times in total of less than one hour. Had it for 5 months though.

You should be paid by Kurzweil. After watching this I am ordering a PC3X NOW instead of an OASYS.

You can always learn how to play you know. But if you never touch the instrument... It is never too late to begin! :P

Very good demo of the PC3. First one I've seen that really shows a great lead sound and sequencer/arpeggiator stuff!
