really defines that kinda street-walking sound that a lotta genres have. plus, the synths in this one got that kickass sega genesis sound to 'em, extra enjoyable!
We had the pleasure of opening for Dolby in the 80's when he came thru Memphis and got to have a chat with him a few years ago when he was back here opening for B.T.
So much heart and soul. . .this where the computer world should be heading. . .great stuff! Always a big fan of Mr. Dolby. love the video screen that flows with the music and the mix of it with the live shots. Nice!
Some songs are maybe too emotional to sing anymore. You notice he uses those thick goggles, maybe he wears them because maybe he gets a bit misty singing songs like, "I Live in a Suitcase," or, "Submarines."
Fantastic - thanks for this! Is there ANY chance that Mr.T is coming to the UK? I've not seen him live since 1983 at Loughborough University. I'm still stuck here - but he never came back again!

Rather see mexicans than racists.. you are not wanted here

I'm curious as to what you mean by that statement. Surely you're not implying that Mr. Dolby is racist!
DesignIntervention 1 year ago
@DesignIntervention That was a reply to another poster who was spouting all kinds of racist garbage here. It has absolutely nothing to do with TD.
losghost 1 year ago
@losghost OK. Cool. Just curious. Hell if it weren't for Mr. Dolby we may not have ringtones. Cheers.

This is a penultimate achievement for Dolby, a perfect song and an almost perfect live performance of it.

"They say travel broadens the mind" - this song still sends chills up the spine, just as it did when I first heard it on Astronauts. Thanks Thomas!

Thomas Dolby makes near-impossible technology seem so easy to play. Another syhnthesizer/electronic sound engineering wiz!
