  • i like this tune on crossroads 07, with clapton. i have my kit set up in front of the big screen, crank the surround sound and i get to jam with these guys all the time! hahaha

  • wow, fabulous sound! send me the whole song please:)

  • well thanks for that titillating but disappointing info!! so, what would it take to get the WHOLE song put up on youtube? i have listened to everything available for this, all the duets, duos and solos and NOTHING compares to the sound quality of this song on my headphones; absolutely awesome!! i don't know how you got away with this but it is EXCELLENT! The background, drums, the whole combo is just perfect.

  • @stukin70s Send me your e-mail in a message not a post

  • i do wish you had posted the WHOLE song though!!

  • @stukin70s I do have the Whole Song and The Whole concert on audio and it sounds awesome

  • GRAB YER HEADPHONES FOR THIS ONE- AWESOME!!

  • He doesn't seem to get older. And his voice has kept its high pitch!

  • Er, mistake ... 14 when he started Spencer Davis ..

  • AND he was 17 when he first fronted Spencer Davis .. truly a legend ..

  • listen to the styx version they did last year its great really does it justice tommy shaw nailed it stevie is thee man though

  • Very cool.

  • Umm its only part of the song?? Y

  • winwood was 21 when he was w.Blind Faith...can you believe he wrote such an amazing song at such a young age? Amazes me....

  • Beautiful...

  • Liebe dieses Lied seit ich denken kann. Steve habe ich vor einigen Jahren in Hamburg erlebt. Es war phantastisch. Danke für dieses Video

  • I think I was at this concert, Mountain Winery Sartoga California. A great show!!!

  • Linda musica, acordes melodiosos,Steve grande musico, ouvi muito Traffic na decada de 70.Parabens e muito obrigado por postar este video.

  • Theyre right when they say WInwood is a rock legend. This doesnt show you how good he is. Winwood when he is properly on form can out sing, out perform and out shine pretty much anyone you put against him.

  • WSP do a really good cover of this. Takes me back!!

  • ladies and gents the incomparable stevie winwood

  • Today with Magellan, Tom Tom and others...it doesn't matter how wasted you are you could still you way home?

  • Never saw a tele like that...anyone know what it is?

  • @jread021 Nylon-strung MIJ, circa 1997.

  • @brython2 WTF.... Do the strings have ball-ends on them? I don't see where they are tied off at the bridge.

  • @Hoopermazing Mine are tied off at the bridge; but I'm sure you can get ball-ends

  • @brython2 Ahhhh. It's a cool ax. If I didn't already have a nylon string Taylor T5 knock-off, I'd have to seriously think about getting one.

  • @09541745 In English (American English in any event) that idiom would be expressed as goose-bumps.

  • For My Funeral! Elder Tom.

  • i have never seen steve winwood and willem defoe in the same place.... just sayin...

  • lol

  • Steve Winwood was an arch chick-magnet when he was young. Willem Defoe was born ugly.

  • touché!

  • hahahaha, good

  • Steve and his band lit in Kingston Ny for a show and I took me dad. What a great sound ! His conga and sax players were top notch! Dad loved the night. Thanks for this great post!

  • When i listen this song i have the skin of chiken

  • I can't quite put my finger on what makes this (and Winwood in general) so compelling. I think something about the various rhythms: slow melody vs the beat?

  • wow

  • I loved Blind Faith & Cream, there is no better combination than Winwood, Clapton and Baker. This is an excellent live performance of Winwood, thanks for posting it.

  • A lot of memories, both foggy and vivid

    Thanks

  • RIPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great stuff!!!

  • Blind Faith summer of 69

  • many thanks for the effort and the vi,suals, pity the instruments dominate SO much

  • Just saw Winwood last week......he's still got it!! He really seemed to be having a good time....received many ovations.

  • Thisb song touches my soul so fucking deeply...I've had many stories in my life that relate to this tune...long live sw

  • Great song - I've always loved it and Winwood too.

  • I love this man, i love this song...and i love his voice...

  • IT LOVE DIS SONG

  • Ohhhh, it ended too soon!!! He's still got it ~ I just love this song. Thanks for posting it.

  • what's all this "stoned" talk about anyway? He's a fuckin rock singer from the sixties, who fuckin gives a shit if he's stoned or not, it's a fine performance, and his voice which is very hard to imitate is on point

  • steve is one of the GODS

  • i should think steve could have have any guitar hand made by any top maker on this planet the mans a fu/'in legend

  • Stop it with the "drummer=drugs=bad' he's just getting into the groove, other wise go watch a Sousa marching band.

  • You are so right, I dont even think he is stoned, he is just enjoying himself, making groovy muscic and giving ppl a good time...

  • Those Fender Nylon stringed are out of production now but seems to be very hard to find one...Have anybody saw one ?

  • i have no idea about the Fender Nylons, but have you checked out Elixir strings?

at any rate, this version is killer!

  • try out a Godin great guitars

  • The Drummer is STOKED ! Watch his grin. think that boy needs a little trip to the drug screening facility.

  • Sounds like something Beavis And Butthead would say. Obviously U have know sense of what a groove is.

  • but boy is he tight - right there keeping it in the pocket!

  • Well to notice that you are an expert I assume? Cause to me it looks like he is just having a good time making good music.

  • he's puttin' emotion into it.

  • I want to see him this summer. He doesn't look happy performing though.

  • Yeah he does. He is into it!

  • Older guys develop grimaces even though their minds are still trippin' with childlike wonder * LOL

  • Excellent.....just excellent!

  • great song

  • I love Steve Winwood and this tune. He has an amazing range

and quality to his voice that is unmistakable.

  • And at his age, he didn't DETUNE to a 1/2 or whole step below the original.

  • I agree with both of you, Bobbie & Peter. I think Steve's voice has actually improved with age - it has certainly got stronger since his SDG days. Although he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, I'm searching for a reason why Steve shouldn't be honoured by the Queen and I can't think of one; an oversight that should surely be remedied.

  • Yeah, I was just amazed to see and hear this video.

I checked your site here on You Tube. I will have to hear more. Very nice!

  • ¡es un genio del rock, tiene un ffeling inigualable!!!!!!

  • he is touring with tom petty this year. dose anyone know what he will play. please let me know

  • Clapton does a good version but Winwood has a unique sound, like his a little better. Peace.

  • going to the clapton/winwood show at msg.. Stevie sounds/looks great.. have not seen him ina few years.. he opened up for the dead sat in with the boys for a killer low spark.. thanks for the vids...

  • Only Steve Winwood deserves to sing this song. The rest of us be happy listening to..

  • I have a version with Eric Clapton on vocals, I prefer that to the ones with Winwood's.

  • I love this song!

  • Awesome Version!!!!!First Time I Heard this Song a While Back, I Cried my Eyes Out!!!!!It Has Inspired me!!!!!Live Free and Rock on!!!!!Long Live The Blues!!!!!

  • If he ever comes to Texas, I'll be the first in line for good tickets to the show.

  • he came to fort worth two yeaRS ago, I was there of course :)

  • Thank YOU!tradestaff!!!

  • this song does not need a heavy back beat to it ,like so many heavy drummers crying to be heard...ginger did brushwork / you got perc. sorry...

  • Dude you are so right....

  • Totally agree.

What happened to drummers simply keeping the beat?

    Thats their job right?

  • Thankyou , Brothers ....

  • Nice version! Where was it recorded?

    Gordyo
