  • So what he's a republican as I know conservatives who are gay but don't like gay marriage. Get over it as the hipocrasy of the left makes me sick. And why did they impound the car? Yet the bigger point here is they impound cars from all kinds of people all the time and all for money as the state of California is full of democrats who spend all the people's money! Read the 4th amendment on safety check points, too. All our rights are being violated...

  • Scott Walker with Tom "Finger Lickin'Good" Reynolds??.

  • This Story is now Diamonds

  • This is getting boring now.

  • What's new? Really?

  • "Ashburn, a 55-year-old divorced father of four, claimed his 15-year crusade against proposed gay-rights laws in the California statehouse stemmed from his desire to vote the way his constituents wanted."

That would make him a hypocrite.

I know it's sensational, but since he was a crusader against gay rights, his being gay is relevant.

  • I predicted this like a week ago when I was talking with my friends lol

  • Guys, he was going into the gay bar to pray for the sinners in there. Seems he got down on his knees to pray and then lost focus.

  • So it's pretty much homophobic gays vs proud gays- they're just fighting themselves! xD

  • The DUI is the issue, it doesn't fking matter where he was prior to the incident, period.

There's no such thing as a gay DUI. Not even a GUI Gay while under the influence.

Bringing up the info about the gay bar is a sad desperate reach for sensationalism ratings.

  • @NoDropLS

Since police are 90% conservative and homophobic, and make it policy to stake out gay bars for patrons leaving in their cars, they finally got one of their own. So I would say yes, it's absolutely sensational.

  • @cacamaymie Ka-ching!

  • @classicallady

Waiting for Scott Walker's boyfriend to come out.

  • @NoDropLS

It is an issue if the dipstick is so messed up he is trying to pass legislation against himself. Just another republican who is so in love with power he would send gays to a concentration camp to show his patriotism, hoping no one finds out about him and locks him up as well. *shakes my head*

  • @NoDropLS The Dui , the car, the double moral.

  • @NoDropLS-- When he has a record of opposing Gay rights, it damn well DOES matter that he left a Gay bar with a man in his car, driving drunk while he did it.

  • What a hypocritical subhuman turd Sen Ashburn is. If gay men had any sense, they wouldn't do the wild thing with Republican closet cases.

  • Tea Party member? haha He is not

  • @xaviqaz

    He's not gay either right?

  • @fatfender48 He is a moderate from California who is now openly gay. Never a teabagger

  • I'm freaking crying right now, this is sooo fucking funny!

  • hahahahaahah

  • Yes typical republican telling others not to do what they themselves are doing....but it's incredibly worse since he was actually fighting against gay rights!!

  • Jesus would roll over in his grave if he heard about this.

  • Yet another hypocritical, moral spouting bastard has been put to shame! Let's hope the Catholic church are next!

  • @darkspy666

"Yet another hypocritical, moral spouting bastard has been put to shame! Let's hope the Catholic church are next"

Sadly that's happened...at the result of a ton of sexually abused children they covered up.

  • Never mind the North Koreans, Rag heads, Zionists. The GOPs will destroy the Earth.............

  • it is always these hard nosed republicans with their high moral standings that end up getting busted for the very things they strongly oppose. Republicans need to get off their high horses and except that they are no better then the next guy. Even if he is gay! I am so tired of these hateful people. And usually backing their bigotry with the bible. Shame on them. I am sure Jesus is not proud of the republican party.

  • Just posted a video response where I discuss Senator Ashburn. Check it out if you have some time to waste!

And as per usual, feel free to subscribe!

  • I love the fact that he was caught but I do feel sorry for his kids and wife. I'm surprised he hasn't used the Jesus card yet. Anyone person who is so opposed to an issue or idea is guilty of an internal conflict attached to the issue. Now we know that Ashburn is literally a cock sucker. He looks creepy.

  • Their religious beLIEfs allow them to act out on perverted impulses that they hide deep inside them.

It's like putting on a uniform. They become someone else, so they can do whatever they want; harass, accuse, arrest, molest, torture, kill with a clear conscience because they believe they are not themselves.

Or, doing it for a 'greater good'.

  • Maybe it's time we called them "rebuttlickins"?

  • @chefmikehenry republicans always look creepy if you ask me

  • Christian Fascist gay bashing Senator caught with LGBT. Go Figure.

  • Bakersfield queer I guess.

  • I had "good" bi sex with a staunch married "conservative" last week. After it was over he started talking about "Health Care" and how Pres. Obama was a socialist and communist. All I could think was "Hmm."

  • Isn't anyone curious as to the age of the ''boy'' Homo Roy Ashburn was seen with, according to Christopher Cabaldon's statement

Did Homo Roy Ashburn use his elected title as did Mark Foley to attract impressionable children?

  • Everyone who is NOT surprised, give me +1. bahahahahaha

  • What an idiot.

  • Typical Republican.

  • I'm sure Ashburn was involved with the tea parties.............but more of the ones that take place in public bathrooms, lol

  • @havinthangs55

    More like teabagging. lol

  • Closet gays are often the most hateful selfhating bigots. Trying to outstraight everyone.

  • Damn right. Just look at Jamaica. Most homophobic place on Earth, yet all these Christian gay bashers often like a peice of rear end action after lights out. Or pussy on pussy action if they're female gay bashers.

  • This guy must be the biggest hypocrite the world has ever known, he should exile himself to save the embarassment.

    Typical Con.

  • Now with this high-profile coming out, when will (most) conservatives stop saying homosexuality is a choice? Damn, this guy obviously has struggled for so long with his gayness (it that a word?), so if it was a choice, he would have "renounced" his homosexuality a long time ago...nobody choses to be part of a minority that's discriminated against on a daily basis...and I'm straight by the way (wasn't a choice)

  • True that it's not natural, It's just not a choice and I'm tired of people saying it is. Anyhow, it's the minority of gays that shove their lifestyle in our faces, but those who do get a lot of attention. The vast majority just want to live happily and don't care about being "out there".

  • >Plato86 Well, if by 'natural' you mean 'found in nature', it certainly IS 'natural', as homosexuality is expressed by every animal species of which I'm aware. Do educate yourself. We don't give an 'f' about your ignorance. What we give an 'f' about is you shoving your ignorance in our face, and trying to legislate it, to boot. Unless you think you're God, you can't know whether it serves a purpose or not.. And read Plato's 'Symposium'; you obviously never have.

  • Quite true about animals in the wild and in captivity. If you want to read some of the more amusing details of mammal and bird homosexuality and same sex parenting see my stop the religious right dotty orggy and click on gay animals.

  • Nature you say?

Like money? Is money produced naturally?

Conservatives worship the power of money. That's their real 'God'.

  • Money is a thing, Homosexuality is a behavior, you can not compare the two. FAIL OF THE DAY.

  • Wrong im consevative and i do not have more than 4.00 dollars in bank or any savings at all look up the very definition of conservative it doesnt apply to mccain hes the reason republicans lost and bush wasnt any better! Only way to make bush look good was elect obama and make it worse!

  • @Plato86

"Homosexuality may not be a choice but it is not natural"

Neither is plastic, eye glasses, or the computer you typed on.

" it serves no purpose in nature. "

Do you tell this to hetero couples who can't...or don't want kids?

"shoving your lifestyle in our face"

I think divorce is bad (Christians used to teach it a sin)...is McCain showing his lifestyle in my face with his 2nd wife?

I'm married (just once) and str8. Am I showing my lifestyle in your face?

  • @Plato86 what you say is asking people to be hypocritical. Get a life.

  • Remember when repubs wanted to rename the democratic party something else? I hereby rename the Pubs, the GAY-O.P.

  • I hate Republicans. They are hypocritical, self-serving and evil. God, I'm sick of them. They are idiots like that ex-beauty queen Palin. True Americans are getting sick of you!

  • fuck the bullshit these people are running our country wake the fuck up

  • Who would have thought that the Meth head and bat shit crazy was such a strong Republican voting block.

  • another gay republican? republicans are undercover fags

  • The only thing republicans do well is lie. (and steal, and....what do they really stand for anyway? Since they haven't really done much besides trash our President.....) They ARE very unfit to lead and should not be allowed to steal any more elections.

  • I understand GOP being the first word in the title because it's always funny when an anti-gay rights politician who runs on "family values" turns out to be gay or cheating on his wife in general.

I don't know why Tea party member are the following three words though. I mean I understand you're trying to prove your belief that all republicans and tea partiers are hypocrites or just plain stupid. But whether or not he's a tea partier is absolutely irrelevant to the story, to be fair.

  • If he was representative of true tea party ideals no one would give a shit if he was gay or not...as tea partyers want equal right and freedom for everyone. Hence a big gap between them and GOP sheep.

  • Comment removed

  • Another Teabagging Faux News Republican. Now THAT'S some Family Values we can believe in.

  • Thumbs down is the only response from the ignorant losers that vote for liars like REPUBLICAN ASSBURN

Tea baggers are republicans and republicans are the GOP

    GREEDY OBSTUCTIONIST PERVERTS.

This is just another example of the hypocritical lying chubby chasers that make up the republican party.

  • As a strong Ron Paul supporter I attended a # of his rallies - but I never saw the racist signs, or heard racist comments, or saw all the redneck nutcases like you see at the tea-partiees.

  • I think the TEA party was originally a great hodge podge of people from many different walks of life who are against govt expansion, undeclared wars, way too many taxes, the fed reserve etc. But overtime some of them (not all by far)have become nothing more than extreme left bashing groups as the are infiltrated by the far right fringes. Anyone with sense, like most Ron Paul/Dennis Kucinich supporters, know that BOTH partys actions or inactions are responsible for our current situation.

  • The GOP and the Tea Party are 2 different things but nice try at discrediting the tea party by linking them to the GOP and this guy. Don't allow yourself to continue to be manipulated by the Democrats and Republicans that have divided and conquered us by the super rich that fund both parties.

"Give me control of a nation's money

and I care not who makes the laws."

    -Mayer Amschel Rothschild

  • I've always liked that quote. It says it all to me. Such simple words which show incredible truth. I sure the creators thought so also when they were drawing up their plans to create the Federal Reserve.

  • I don't even consider California a state.

  • LOL good one! NOT spam.

  • Comment removed

  • the Tea Party is GAY!

  • aaaaaahahaha anti-gay, family values republican. FANTASTIC. I love these stories, and there are so many of them.

  • MSNBC will have a field day with this one.

  • Those Republican politicians who are most screaming about family values & being against gay rights usually are the ones that turn out to be gay or to be employing prostitutes.

Are they in self-denial, or do they just believe they can tell their crazy followers anything & they'll believe it?

  • Nothing ever surprises me anymore when it comes to politicians whether they are Repubs or Dems. What's next CSPAN Phone Sex.....LIVE!! Want Nancy P. to talk dirty to you? Call 1 888 HousLedr j/k

  • This was said in jest. My point was thatthere are just as many Dems getting caught doing stupid things as there are Repubs and that their actions don't rally surprise me anymore. Just poking fun at the situation. Why so serious. Although the DUI was very serious and he should be slammed for it. The other part (Gay bar) is just ironic and hypocritical of him.

  • "Ironic and Hypocritical"???? He legislates against gay people, marries an unsuspecting wife to hide himself, and then only allows himself to manifest his sexuality in a light of hiding and perversion. That is destructive like a terrorist attach in the harm it does to millions. And Democrats do NOT do as many stupid things as the GOP because there is no shame manufactured by the Democratic Party for being true to one's self and being gay. Republicans=unfit to lead!

  • So the almighty Dems are just perfect. lol You believe that all you want. Both Partys "Leaders" are just as guilty. Whether it be ethics violations or voting one way while acting another. Dem leaders preach no war yet won't vote against it and in fact vote to continue it. Fail. They all, Dem/Repub leaders, have one goal: Get reelected no matter what they have to say to do it and then recant. Queen Pelosi herself recently said that about promises President Obama made during his election campaign.

  • Democrats didn't steal two elections. Democrats didn't roll back the tax cuts that may have possibly allayed immeasurable environmental destruction, before being reversed by reagan. It's not Dems who started two illegal wars based on lies and gossip and greed resulting in slaughter. This was republicans. Their supporters cheered them as they did all the above. Republicans must face the fact that they are guilty. Then we can deal with other party platforms. Let's not water it down. One at a time.

  • Bush wanted the wars. Theyre undeclared wars. Congress holds the TRUE power when it comes to wars. They couldve said NO! DEMS along with Repubs voted FOR the wars. Can't blame just Repubs. AND DEMS took control of Congress in 06 and had 2 years during Bush to stop funding the wars BUT DIDNT because all they cared about was the 08 election and knew that stopping funding of the conflicts would make them "look" like they dont care about the troops. THEY sacrificed our troops just as much as Bush.

  • Which, with the exception of very few Dem and Rep elected officials, I group the lot together. Neither side as a whole has done the American people justice. BOTH sides has spent/borrowed us into a debt situation that I doubt this country will ever get out from under. BOTH Partys have made the current system of Govt unsustainable. And the sooner people see that THEN the sooner we as a nation will elect true FISCALLY concious individuals to run our country on a BUDGET instead of spending us dry.

  • Actually there were Budget surplus's after the Clinton terms. I think it was actually a record surplus. The deficits, the "drunken spending", the borrowing to give away tax breaks to rich people who even at the time said it did them no good because they had so much money, all republicans. All problems from which the country suffers can be traced back to republican. Trickle Down? A terrorist strike. Republicans are terrorists who work in tandem with the zionists to bring down the USA

  • This is the problem I see. There are too many DIEHARD Repubs and Dems who have forgot that they are Americans first and foremost and completely refuse to see any good in the other side and refuse to denounce any wrongdoing by their own Party. That is what drives this vicious circle of status quo politicians on both sides. No real change is ever made. It is perceived change all the while expanding Govt. When was the last time a CongDem even brought up the idea of term limits as there should be.

  • And just as you would never say there wasn't a budget surplus under Clinton there are an equal amount of people who through their own means could disprove it. Its a game that two sides are playing to keep the people divided over petty issues because the Govt knows that a people divided are so so more easy to control.

  • There is no disputing the facts of the Clinton Budget Surplus's. It is in black and white or whatever color the way shape or form you google it or look it up in the library. It's common knowledge, not gossip. I am not united in any sort of love for Democrats but am most definitely united with anyone who agrees that the republicans are an outdated machine that must be broken down and sold for parts (I don't like littering)

  • You prove my point. I can go on Google and find just as many hits to dispute that budget surplus as there are for it. But you would never search it to read both sides because you don't think one even exists. But it is there in Google black and white. Are they right? Maybe they both are. The truth is: We dont need ANY Partys. No single or 2 party sys can ever speak for the masses because we are not a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic therefore there should be NO Partys only individuals.

  • Regardless of who is in power at any given time in our Govt., 51 percent of the people should never be able to decide the fate of the other 49 percent. That is not what a Constitutional Republic is about. It is about respecting everyones rights and liberties whether we pesonally like them or not. It is about tolerence of people with views that may differ from our own. That is what it is about and what we should be striving for. And to me BOTH current Partys fall way short of those ideas.

  • The problem is, now we have 45% deciding the fate of the other 55%

  • You have just stated why the republicans are unfit to lead. Are there some non-republicans unfit to lead? Yes but as individuals. The Republcan Party Platform is the platform. It is an outdated machine that needs to be liquidated and dismantled. They have provided nothing but destruction and greed gain for themselves at the demise of the country which they shirked their duties to represent in favor of their own short term gain. You and everyone must wake up to that fact while there is time.

  • As long as there are Political Partys, regardless of which one it is, running the Govt instead of the people then nothing will ever change until Govt has complete control over the people. If you really believe that the Democrat or Republican Partys are doing what they do "For the sake of the people" Then you are the one who needs to wake up. I'm done. Our very first President WARNED us of the dangers that political partys would bring to the country. He was epically right.

  • The Govts role has expanded exponentially in the last 100 years. Far exceeding the limits placed on it by the founders. Congress was mandated to meet once a year to discuss issues. It was never meant to be a full time career job. (Need term limits for all as a start) As more powers are given whether clandestine/ hidden in a bill or through fear and more controls over the masses are put into place, soon the original content of the Constitution and our Rights will be forgotten.

  • It was ironic that as part of being caught in the dui (plus the drugs and other things) that he had been in a gay bar which he had for so long harped against which in turn makes him a hypocrite also.

  • Another anti-guy conservative turns out to be a closet gay, exposing his wife to risk of contracting a desease. Also people close to the Pope involved in a male prostitution ring, paying thousands for male prostitutes. Maybe it is true what some psychoanalists say that homophobia is nothing more than supressed homosexuality. It can't be a coincidence that so many republicans and evangelicans are closet gay hypocrites.

  • typo "another anti-gay (not anti-guy) conservative..."

  • LOL! Just what the GOP needs....ANOTHER RepubliCON hypocrite. The party is so FULL of hypocrisy....you'd think they INVENTED the word! (lol)

  • Congratulation's Senator Cocksucker.

  • who says he is a tea party person ? And so what 'isn't the Obama Admin all for gay rights ? or does that only include Dem. ?

  • That is not the point. The point is, most times when someone is staunchly against gay rights, they turn out to be frequent flyers themselves. This guy, like Ted Haggard, were so against gay rights, or so they said.

  • I don't mean to be offensive, but Ashburn has those twinkly eyes, just like Mark Foley, must be a sign.

  • Potty chair and a crucifix? Wow...

Doesn't matter much to me of his political affiliation, but more so that there are elected officials who say one thing in public and let their freak flag fly high when people's backs are turned.

I expect perfection in no one, as it doesn't exist, but I do expect honesty, especially one who is in the position of holding the public's trust and interests.

  • Whaaa??? Don't leave us hanging, wildpeachatl737!

    Inquiring minds want to know!

  • wildpeachatl737:

Specifically? It was that "potty chair and a crucifix" remark that caught my attention! I watched the entire clip again and it didn't mention anything like that...

Were you talking about Roy Ashburn in particular, or just the proclivities of another infamous GOP perv?

  • Were you talking about Roy Ashburn in particular, or just the proclivities of another infamous GOP perv?

    ================

I think she means both, plus that these people tend to advertise themselves as super Christian blah blah blah, but like most toilets they are full of crap.

Or I could be wrong. hahaha

    diane

  • Thanks for the clarification, chgosatrap. Maybe it's wrong, but whenever one of these fake "family values," holier-than-thou types gets caught with his pants down, it fills me with a malicious glee and makes me curious about all the sordid details!

  • I agree with you, Woody, and I am a Christian. The family values nutjobs are so AGAINST families, it is pathetic. I am glad when they get caught, with or without their nasty pants!

Read Frank Scheafer's book, "Crazy for God" (frankscheaffer(dot)com). He grew up with the uber right; his father was VERY famous in evangelical circles, and was a favorite at a church I used to attend. Rachel Maddow interviewed him,; you can see it on YT.

  • @treez78 they try anything to discredit the tea partiers... tryin to say tea partiers are gay,

  • What IS it with Republicans and illicit, homo sex?

Seems like conservative, anti-gay, closet cases get outed on a weekly basis nowadays!

I'm starting to think it's not so much the fear of ostracization, (the GOP is proving to be a hotbed of horny, powerful, gay men), as it is the attraction to the forbidden...

Nobody cares anymore, Rightards! Come out into the light of day with your unquenchable thirst for penis!

  • What do you expect from leaders of a country without morality?

    May Allah Damn America

  • @salbal777

Which Allah-bound country do you consider "Moral"?

  • The irony is delicious...

  • representative of all tea baggers... Hypocrites

  • The Tea Party doesn't have a single leader, each person in the Tea Party movement is a leader. That being said I can't find anything associating this guy with the tea party movement on google besides references to this headline.

  • Ah, another Republican hypocrite.

  • This report says nothing about any affiliation with the Tea Party Movement. So is that caption a lie? I could not find any affiliation.

  • A person with an IQ of 80 could run this country better than what oBAMA has accomplished so far. Progressive liberals are jealous and angry at the tea party movement for a reason and one reason only - The tea party movement reminds them everyday how they were T-BAGGED by oBAMA! How's that hopey changey thing working for ya? LOL

  • @demonpreyer the tea party movement is great because-- like Ron Paul-- you all believe in getting out of Iraq immediately and that it was a huge mistake to get in there in the first place. I wish more people would advertise that!

  • These "tea Partiers" are not one group, not just liberal or conservative. You go ask a group of people that have been laid off, they all will tell you the same thing. They are mad because tax payers money was given to the big banks, it was not reinvested in America, and the jobs lost have been shipped over seas. It was started before Obama was elected. its like people forgot about 8 years of bush.

  • didn't know the tea party movement had a leader!

  • What's his name..........ASSBURN?

  • lol. why is it always the people who are most opposed to gay marriage are the same ones found taking it in the bum

  • Palin is from Alaska. I'll bet she eats beaver.

  • Hilarious

  • what an idiot. republicans are very untrustworthy

  • Disgusting. Just more proof of how much of a fluke that whole tea bag crap is. wow. nasty bastard.

  • How many times do we have to hear about these nauseatingly sanctimonious and duplicitous homophobes before we realize that being a republican is really the perverse lifestyle? I believe the only reason that he is sorry is that he didn't get some dick before being caught.

  • @Brahmsfourth wow, just..wow

  • what a hypocrite. Maybe his hypocrite friends should send him to anti-gay-camp and afterwards to Jesus camp, just to be on the safe side.

  • come out of the closet, roy! youve been caught.

  • When he heard there would be "tea-bagging" no way he could resist & rushed to the gathering.

He also says he's big on "family values" but what does "family values" mean?

  • That tea bag joke is freakin hilarious!

  • He's sorry alright. Sorry that he got caught!

  • Actually, this guy is a leader of the Taliban-wannabees of the Republican Party and the plane-crashing tea party psychos. This arrest story is the funniest since the outting of Sen. Larry Craig (R), Sen. David 'Diaperman' Vitter, and Pastor Ted Haggart.

  • You sound fat.

  • preach it brother.

  • It's so funny how quick you are to shorn someone who the majority of your party the instant they do something untoward.

  • But Keith Olbermann told me there were no gays at the tea parties. I guess he meant flamers.

  • this is hilarious.

  • Just another Republican hypocrite - living a life of lies and deception. He needs to be removed from office immediately - if for no other reason than driving drunk in a State owned vehicle.

  • Don't Drink and Drive.

  • He says he is willing to accept the consequences for what he did. Does this mean he will also be accepting the consequences for promoting homophobia?

  • And the attempts to smear the tea party continue. The are no politician players leading the true tea party movement with the exception of maybe Ron Paul.

    Neo-Con/Banker lies.

  • Don't vote, it just encourages the bastards.

  • Ahhh...

Another Lipton moment for the Republicans...

  • Well said!

  • There all hypocrites.

  • Why am I not surprised?

  • typical GOP closet case ..I hope he gets the book thrown at him and spends some jail time..these closet cases are the biggest enemy of equal rights...hope he got some same sex action while he was in jail

  • Fake, gay, republicans are not "leaders" in the tea party. That is mainstream media's interpretation.

Ron Paul is the only real tea party leader!
