it will be more of a good help

  • why is this so laggy?

  • ffs, Youtube fucked it up. Read desc, thanks for the heads up.

  • Wow this looks alot easier than it sounds.

I might actually attempt this after all.

  • It's nice start for who are trying to learn this great solo... or for those who don't play piano but would love to play this solo (like me).

  • you need a better synth the sound should be monophonic. good job :)

  • Aaaaaah! The Casio! It burns!!!!

  • Its a Yamaha genius.

  • And what exactly leads you to believe that? I don't see a logo anywhere in the video. Also, I was referring to the sound of the patch, not so much the make of the instrument.

  • The fact that I used to have that exact same keyboard and you can see it right at the start. It be a yamaha PSR E403.

As for the sound patch, thats just a simple square lead, it is featured on almost every single keyboard to date. As for the origin, I believe it was Moog originated. An analogue synthesiser company that pretty much defined synths as we know them today.

  • oooo he torched your ass dementedc

  • and i think the end is pretty stupid.

    but it's kind of funny.

  • i think it's nicely done,

just the reverb isn't set the way Jordan does it.,i don't know that term but, the mini "wah wah" sound.,it's not there.

  • it's called 'portamento'.

  • well yeh iv only just started playing keyboard and this video has helped alot.

  • Mmm you shouldn't start with Dream Theter key solos if you just put hands on your keyboards, it's a bit of a hurry, but anyways keep it on

  • what tone are u using

  • dude did u tape this with your cell phone?

  • yes

  • Very bad fingers....see my video please

  • please delete this video and dont let the community here to learn it at the wrong way >O

  • I hope you're talking about the fingering, Mishiev.

  • ur doing it wrong.

  • i have that keyboard its an psre403 if u wanna search ebay up and get one :D they are very cool <3

  • What sound is this? I have the exact same keyboard ;)

  • Sq Saw I think.

  • It sounds like 327 or 328 Square Lead

  • from wich country are you?

  • It says on my profile. :)

  • Ireland

  • w0rd :D

  • Thanks for posting this! I just got a keyboard last month. I needed some inspiration beyond just "basic fingering". I'm going to use YOU as a training aid!

  • eh si la diteggiatura offende proprio la vista!

  • ENGLISH PLZ

  • lol

  • gia' gia' sembra di vedere un suonatore di nacchere

  • work on the fingering =)

  • Great :) Very nice playing.

  • Badass man, keep up the good work.

  • any one know how to play this on guitar

  • I can suggest youo something... Get guitar pro, download the GPro archive, and go to the part where this keyboard solo is . There will be a 5 line staff with the notes and below a 6 note staff with the guitar note corresponding to the musical note :)

  • yea man ive already tryed to learn it from guitar pro its all played like on two strings and it takes forever to convert the notes to an up and down version thats not imposibble to play at the full tempo i just wanted to see if anyone else has figured it out so ican just watch there vid and learn it

  • Ottimo lavoro, veramente complimenti

  • i know how to make the original sound in Reason 3.0, with a single subtractor. would fit perfect

  • Reason is sweet, nice.

  • check out my video.

  • Fuck, dude, you're a cunt! That was awesome! Cracking video, and I didn't even mark your post as spam since it was so good, haha.

  • horrooooor very bad fingering..

  • plz post the rest of the solo!!

  • anyone know where i can find music or a riff for this?

  • bad fingering...

  • I know. I don't play it like this now. It's also not completely correct, but people find it useful.

  • thats really useful! ive been trying to learn that for ages!!! good job :P

  • Its not a minimoog, it's another modular synth. You should watch score, you can see his whole solo up close.

  • tá meio sujo, e com problemas de dedilhado =P

  • thanks!!

  • ruddess used a minimoog and a hell of a lot of oscillators...

  • great video

  • i also used sq lead. oh and thanx for the help by the way =]

  • good :) but whats the sound of keyboard? i couldnt find it?

  • I use Sq.lead -- that's the effect, as far as i can tell, that Jordan uses only he adds portobello (i think that's what you call it? somebody please correct me if i'm wrong) which makes it sound like the notes are pitch-bending into eachother.

  • I believe that's portamento, we're not talkin mushrooms here

  • Thanks a lot!

  • legato?

  • It's a portamento effect we mean. Wiki it!
